What To Expect

We will pick you up at your accommodation. You will get to know the famous Mogote sand dunes in the company of a local guide, native of the city of La Paz, with several years of experience. You will learn to slide down the sand dunes safely, our guide has experience for all ages from children to seniors. Our guide will provide you with goggles, balaclavas and sand boards. You can slide standing, sitting or lying down on the sand dunes. After the activity you can relax and appreciate the beautiful sunset where the sea meets the desert. You will be able to see the stars after the activity and the sunset. Includes: Bottled water. Hydrating drink. Sand board. Goggles. Balaclava. Wax. Local guide. Transportation. Digital photographs and video.

I spent one morning sandboarding with my daughter on our recent trip to La Paz. It was a great experience. Our guide Orlando made it particularly memorable. He gave fantastic instruction, and made sure our skills were ready for each level progression. We started out on slower boards, and smaller dunes, before moving up in challenge to his fastest board on larger dunes. The photo's and video's Orlando took of our trip were great. I would recommend this tour to any family.

Fun relaxed vibe with an incredible sunset view! Prepare to get sandy flying down the sand dunes with a sandboard or sled board. You will need to walk your board up which was a good workout too! Two thumbs up form our family for the unique experience and the beautiful sunset location!!

We had a great experience from start to finish. Ulises was our guide and he was very patient, friendly, and accommodating. He took a lot of great photos and had came prepared with drinks and an umbrella for shade.

We were picked up in 2 cars at our hotel. It took 40min to get to the dunes. The place is amazing unique. The guides are very friendly and carry water, googles, and equipment. We moved forward in the different sizes of dunes. They were very patient with us. In addition, we took many very good photographs (included in the price). At the end I recommend you stay to see the stars. A great experience.

What a wonderful experience! We came with our two boys and had no experience whatsoever with skateboarding, snowboarding or anything of the like so it took a few tries to make it all the way down without falling. However, it really didn’t matter, what was fantastic for us was playing in the warm sand of the dunes at sunset. The guides were amazing! Supportive, fun, and willing to take a million pictures.

Amazing experience. I was the only one that day. The sandboarding part consists on many levels and the guide teaches you how to ride and do small turns. It has different kind of sandboards, based on how fast they go (the slowest are for beginners). We tried 3 different dunes, with increasing difficulty. After that we relaxed on the paddle boards through the calm sea. He offered me drinks and fruits. The guide took also pictures and videos of both activities, and shared at the end of the day.
