  Afternoon in the dunes in 4x4 Thank you to NICO our super driver guide, professional and very friendly. The view is beautiful and the sensations at the Top.   JP with Red Dune Safaris Namibia is a great guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the Sandwich Harbour area. He seems genuinely enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge of the dunes with his guests. He fit me in to a group last minute. He also gave me a recommendation for a craft beer in Swakopmund which I tried last night. Excellent!

  Brilliant fun - lots to see, great views, wildlife, knowledgeable guides. Plus, a lovely breakfast with bubbly and oysters in the dunes. Gets super busy when the cruise ships aer in. We were lucky to go in a group of 4 in a small vehicle, drove along the beach and saw the seals, and up into the amazing dunes. Great breakfast afterwards with bubbly and oysters.

  JP, thank you so much for this fantastic tour. My wife and I had an amazing time. JP picked us up at 9 am and we first visited the local salt factory. This was really enjoyable and JP answered all our questions. We then made our way through the dunes and then to sandwich harbor. It was amazing to see so much wildlife (jackals, gecko, springbok, ostrich, others). JP really knew his stuff and we learned so much! Sandwich harbor was beautiful and JP arranged a perfect vegetarian meal for us, we are picky eaters! The day was capped off by a few sandboarding runs which was really thrilling! Please do yourself a service and book with JP, he was amazing. Great banter and it we really connected with you on a personal level. Thank you so much for a wonderful day!

  It was a real stroke of luck that on our first day in Walvis Bay during our cruise, we had the opportunity to experience the half-day Desert & Dunes Photo Tour with Red Dune Safaris. As soon as we were welcomed, it became clear that we were in the best hands – from start to finish, the entire tour was characterised by professionalism, warmth and an enthusiasm that was immediately infectious. Our guide, JP Koch, not only convinced with his exceptional friendliness and charming humor, but also impressed us with a remarkably deep knowledge of the region. With great passion and vivid narratives, he made the fascinating landscape, unique wildlife, geological features and cultural backgrounds of the Namib Desert and the coastal region around Sandwich Harbour experience for us. By the way, we were able to learn new things and enjoy the beauty of this special place intensively. The ride itself was an incomparable adventure: Over majestic sand dunes, along the wild Atlantic coast, always with spectacular views and thoughtful photo stops that invited you to pause and marvel. The image of the enormous dunes that seem to flow into the sea – a natural spectacle that is second to none – remains particularly memorable. Even away from the extraordinary experiences in nature, the outstanding quality of Red Dune Safaris was evident: The organization was first-class – from punctual and friendly pickup to uncomplicated, open communication in advance to lovingly arranged picnics with high-quality snacks and refreshing drinks. Every moment was thoughtful, appreciative and showed how much passion JP Koch is in the matter. Whether for photographers, nature lovers or adventure seekers – Red Dune Safaris is an absolute premium recommendation for anyone who wants to discover Walvis Bay, Swakopmund or the Namib.   Excellent visit especially not to be missed, many explanations about wildlife (could see several whales, sea lions), geology. Apparently it's better to go around in the morning, the view from the dunes overlooking the ocean is exceptional, the weather was foggy at the start and rose very quickly in the early morning. Thanks to Martin our driver.

  We were taken out twice during our stay in Swakopmund. Once for a half day tour and the second time for a sunset tour. Our guides were excellent on both occasions. They provided us with fascinating informative facts, showed us wildlife up close, supplied and hosted a beautiful meal. I would recommend them fully to any traveller wishing to experience the amazing dunes and its spectacular scenery.

  The minute that Gerhard took the wheel of the 4 x 4 that carried us through the dunes and around Walvis Bay, we knew that we were in good hands. Not only, did he give us a great verbal tour and answer our questions, but he also was the most amazing driver. He truly knew this area well and was expert at ascending and descending the giant dunes. It was a true thrill and worth every penny. The sights and lovely snacks that were presented to us were icing on the cake. Highly recommend!!!!!!
