Out of all the guide reviews I read before i booked a historical walking tour of Santa Fe, Ana’s stood out because I sensed a depth and authenticity I didn’t see elsewhere. I was not wrong. Her pride in her deep generational New Mexican roots were enhanced by her broad and enthusiastic knowledge of nearly 500 years of history. As an east coast-raised person, I was totally ignorant about how central NM has been to the American story. I was so hooked on her story telling that I purchased one of the many books she has written about the area. If you are a curious person, I highly recommend Ana’s tour.

Ann is an excellent tour guide willing to share interesting historical information as well as photos. The two hours passed very quickly (despite the cold weather) and the information she shared added a historical perspective to my rambling around Santa Fe. As I walked back to my casita, I had a greater appreciation for the architecture, layout and uniqueness of Santa Fe.

Ana was a fabulous guide. Her breadth of knowledge of Santa Fe was incredible. It’s a two hour walking tour, but the pace is such that it’s not exhausting or hurried. We had a great time and learned so much. We are even seeking out a few of Ana’s books to dig in a little deeper.

  • Well worth the time and money!

Amazing! The best tour guide. Learned so much fascinating history about Santa Fe and NM! Ana was truly awesome ! Highly recommend. We have visited all of the places we stopped at on this tour multiple times but did not go into any of them but that was ok with us. We wanted to learn about the history of all these landmarks. So if you want to go inside these landmarks you need to go before or after this tour.
