Ana's Santa Fe roots go back 300 years, she has written multiple books on various aspects of local history and she is greeted throughout the tour by locals vouching for her. She delivers a well practiced performance that balances different chapters in the area's history and various themes including economics, architecture, religion, human rights, agriculture. Terrific introduction to the city and region.

The experience was full of interesting historical details told by an expert whose ancestors came to Santa Fe in the 1600s. Ann was funny, engaging and friendly.

This was a great experience and recommended for all that are interested in the unique history of Santa Fe. Ana was super knowledgeable and wonderfully engaging. She provided a rich history of Santa Fe from the arrival of the Spanish, to the birth of the art community, to the Manhatten project. Our group was multi-generational and she kept everyone engaged. I highly recommend spending a morning with Ana. It will truly enrich your visit to Santa Fe.

This is the best tour I had in a while. Ana is very knowledgeable and experienced. She gave us a lot of fun facts and details you otherwise would have missed. She shows you pictures from the history of Santa Fe and pictures for vicinity sites that you might not seen. She also gave unique insights from her past experience growing up in the area. I would highly recommend the trip to everyone. My impression for Santa Fe now is much more beyond adobe style buildings. This tour really is the highlight of my entire New Mexico trip.

Our family of 4 (including a 20 year-old who is into history and an 18 year-old who isn’t always) couldn’t have been more pleased. It was well worth the time and price. Ana is an excellent storyteller who mixed encyclopedic knowledge with wit and intrigue. She covered Santa Fe and New Mexico in greater detail than we expected. She also drew in world history, national, international, cultural, and religious elements we didn’t expect. It was all well done and helped us make much more of our time in beautiful Santa Fe. The size of the group allowed us to easily hear, see the photos Ana brought, and move about comfortably. Highly recommended.

Out of all the guide reviews I read before i booked a historical walking tour of Santa Fe, Ana’s stood out because I sensed a depth and authenticity I didn’t see elsewhere. I was not wrong. Her pride in her deep generational New Mexican roots were enhanced by her broad and enthusiastic knowledge of nearly 500 years of history. As an east coast-raised person, I was totally ignorant about how central NM has been to the American story. I was so hooked on her story telling that I purchased one of the many books she has written about the area. If you are a curious person, I highly recommend Ana’s tour.
