Booked sunset trip and upgraded to Acona car. The staff were professional and very sweet. The evening's musician, Kipp Bentley, curated a train inspired playlist which had the patrons singing along! The two young men on the viewing platform were knowledgable and accommodating (offering to take photos of patrons). Highly recommend this experience! Treat yourself!

Everything about the sunset experience was outstanding. The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and well-organized. There was a nice mix of couples, families, and me (a solo traveler). I enjoyed a delicious cocktail while the mountain views slowly rolled by. The blazing sunset and snowfall were simply stunning - the photo does not do it justice. Live classical guitar music by Joaquin Gallegos was icing on the cake (although they explained that the musician and type of music varies on each trip).

Great train trip with family. Did the evening trip so we saw a great sunset. Mixed drinks were just OK, so I stayed with beer. Staff and entertainment were excellent. Unique experience and a lot of fun. We got back to the station in time to go to some of the restaurants in the area.

Loved the train and the historic Pullman Car. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. We had a car with a live musician by the name of Perry. Perry gave a sincere performance; however, we were not fans. We found Perry's performance lacking and distracing to the tranquility of the ride. The staff did their all to generate enthusiam by applauding after each song and many of us were polite in joining in, but the performance was not worthy of our efforts. The train ride would be better served by background music and some narration regarding the revial of the train, and some of the history of this particluar rail line From Santa Fe NM to Lamy NM. Without the live music, this experience would be rated a 5.

We came to Santa Fe specifically to ride a train, and this worked well; family celebration for 40th bday, 1st class seating, good weather, Joaquin was our entertainment, very good for us; conversed with us, and played music we enjoyed. Photos of the sunset were great!

The margaritas were great, the music (Eddie Wonder) was fantastic and the sunset cooperated . Eddie should try out for the Voice.

The experience was enjoyable but not particularly top notch. The car we rode in, The O’Brien, was nicely renovated. Unfortunately due to a previous event, the restroom was out of order so we had to walk to another car to use the facilities. There was a musician serenading us throughout the trip and he actually was fairly unpleasant to the ear. It was nice to have the open air cars but it would have been more enjoyable if there were benches to sit on. In order to enjoy the outdoors we had to stand for the entire time. The last disappointment was that the train route mostly offered views that included houses, never reached more remote areas. The initial route was exiting the city then moved onto the suburban areas until the houses became more sparse but we never felt like we reached any isolated areas. The views in the distance were pleasant.

Took the Sunset Serenade trip. It was great! Friendly staff, very talented musician on our car and smooth ride. The view of the sunset was spectacular. We were treated with the full moon rising in the east as the sunset in the west.
