We had the most incredible time with Santa Barbara Adventure Company! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and thoughtfully curated. The tour guide, Johannes was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about wine and the Santa Ynez Valley region. Each stop on the tour offered a unique experience—from stunning vineyard views to intimate tastings with local winemakers. The transportation was comfortable, and the pace of the tour felt just right—not rushed, but never dull. We especially appreciated the behind-the-scenes access at one of the wineries and stories that brought each winery to life. Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or just getting started, this tour offers something for everyone. Highly recommend!! ⸻

If you're looking for informative discussions and broad education on the Santa Ynez wine region, this tour isn't for you. If you're looking to meet some nice people, drink a few wines and have a relaxing experience with a pleasant driver, this tour is for you. Our tour started off poorly (incorrect pick up time; a change of drivers; waiting an hour--not including the extra time for freeway traffic--for pickup after rushing to get ready for an incorrect time given). Our driver was very friendly and engaging. I was hoping for some informative discussion during the drives to each vineyard about the wine region, but there was none of that. We were provided with good recommendations for food/drink in the area, but no discussion on the wine region. We visited 2 vineyards and 1 tasting room (my husband and I had already visited that exact tasting room the day before because we assumed our tour would be vineyards, so we were disappointed to be tasting the same wines. ). We bought thought we spent too much time at each location. We could have easily visited 4 vineyards or reduced the tour time. The knowledge of the guides/pourers at each winery varied greatly. 2 were quite knowledgeable and provided history of the vineyard and wines we were drinking. One was pretty new and didn't know the most basic of info about the vineyard or the wines beyond what she memorized. The lunch provided (which you pre-order the week prior) was excellent. The best part of the tour was meeting the rest of the group. Both my husband and I feel the experience isn't really worth the price of this tour. To be honest, aside from meeting other people and driving in a comfortable van, it's no different from choosing your own vineyards and ubering to each location on your own--which would be far cheaper than this tour. Maybe my husband and I just had different expectations. Having been on many wine tours in Napa Valley and the Finger Lakes region, we were expecting a similar type of informative experience. This tour was very different than the ones we've experienced in the past.

W we moved along at a leisurely pace; thoughtful and engaging tour guide; three wine stops each with distinct interesting character; we had a movie star director, the sender; a mama, grandma and daughter Trio; lots of civil engineers, and a lot of fun

Caco is a Great !Tour guide and Driver; very informative all along the way. The last winery called Vega is one that I would not recommend visiting. The. first pinot noir was poured from the bottom of an open bottle very vinegar and should never have been served. However, once we told them about it, they did offer to open a fresh bottle.. Service was not great. Waited a long time in between each tasting.. wine was mediocre at bedtime (remember wine like art is personal taste) not on my favorite list.
