Start your epic journey with a convenient hotel pickup and take a scenic ride with your tour guide to the old mule path that connects Santorini's capital city of Fira to the coastal village of Oia. The path takes you past the village of Imerovigli, which features Cycladic-built homes and structures and the monastery of St. Nicholas--the Firostefani. Continue your tour passing the iconic Prophet Elias chapels--an Orthodox chapel that sits atop a mountain and offers picturesque views of the surrounding villages and skyline. You'll take a break here with your group to enjoy a picnic for lunch. Continue your hike down the path that leads you to way. 5.00This hike was a highlight of our trip! It was a great way to see more of the island and was mainly very easy with just a bit of an uphill / downhill walk (which is no surprise in Santorini). Our guide Panos was awesome! He was very friendly and easy to talk to making the hike even more enjoyable. He also shared with us a ton of information about the history of the island even having old photos of the island to compare to! The stop for a quick treat was also very tasty and overall would definitely recommend the experience for a way to see more of the island and the beautiful sunset!

5.00I would recommend this hike to anyone who enjoys walking and hiking. Our guide Panos was excellent. We were a little worried about the hike considering the rain storm and winds in the morning and what looked liked an advanced hike. The hike was not that difficult, it was challenging but not extreme. Panos put us at ease from the beginning. We kept an approximate 25-30 minute per mile pace. Hike took about 3.5 hours total. Plenty of water breaks and picture breaks. Panos also was very informative and took time to explain the natural and historical sites. Lunch was incredible too! Joe W.

5.00The caldera hike from Fira to Oia on Santorini’s caldera is one of the most enjoyable and memorable activities from our trip to Greece and Turkey! We were a bit apprehensive about our abilities because of what we heard, but our guide Panos got to know us and supported our success. Yes there is gravel and there are steep areas, but Panos’s familiarity with the trail helped us attack each challenge as it came. The beautiful views and sense of accomplishment were our rewards. If you are active at home, this is the hike you are ready for! You’ve got this!

5.00I cannot even put into words how beautiful the scenery was on this hike! Definitely a highlight of our trip. Anastasis was a perfect guide who shared his knowledge of Santorini with us and indulged me in my endless photo taking! We stopped along the way for a delicious smoothie and Greek yogurt, which was awesome and unexpected! It is a challenging hike with a good bit of uphills. Definitely bring tennis shoes, water, sunglasses and a hat with you. Should be on your list of things to do in Santorini for sure!!!!

5.00For the inaugural visit to Greece in celebration of my parents' 50th anniversary, we opted for this particular hike due to the highly recommended caldera vistas along its trails. The scenery and panoramic views proved to be absolutely breathtaking. Our tour guide, Sophia Mpougioukou, was incredibly sweet and attentive, taking excellent care of my family. Given that my parents are in their 70s, the hike presented a strenuous challenge for them. However, Sophia vigilantly looked after their well-being throughout the entire excursion, even offering them walking sticks, which proved to be indispensable, especially in rugged and demanding terrain. This unforgettable experience will stay with us forever, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to return in the future.

5.00Our tour included transportation to and from the hike from Thira to Oia and meeting up with everyone was very easy. I would recommend this hike to visitors who are in fairly decent shape and are used to walking on a mixture of paved and gravel paths. Essential to dress for the weather and have proper hiking shoes on for traction. The scenery along the trail was incredible as we passed from urban areas to trails and back to more urban areas. The sunset at the church we stopped at was beautiful and our tour guides were very knowledgable in terms of the history of Santorini and Greece. I would highly recommend this hike for visitors capable of walking 5 or 6 miles at a decent pace.

5.00I had arranged a small-group hike from Fira to Oia through the Travel Agency we used. The driver picked me up promptly at 4pm at the pick-up point (yes, only me) and drove me to the hike starting point in Fira, where I met Sofia, who would accompany me on the 10-11 km hiking trail to Oia. First, she offered me a choice of sandwiches from the place where we met. Sofia was a great guide - she matched my pace exactly, she answered all of my questions patiently and completely, and was all-in-all a great companion on the hike. We stopped at a beautiful spot along the way while I ate my sandwich. When we finished, the driver picked us up and drove us back to the starting point. I heartily recommend using this tour operator, and consider yourself lucky if Sofia is your hiking companion !
