Fira is the beautiful capital of the island and the biggest and most cosmopolitan settlement of Santorini. It is located in the western edge of the island, opposite the volcano and the two volcanic islands, Palaia Kammeni and Nea Kammeni that lie in the sea. This was a wonderful experience! Panos was the best guide. He was so knowledgeable about the island and showed us everything. He was so pleasant and we really really enjoyed ourselves. Panos was an excellent guide. The walk from Fira to Oia was a great way to experience Santorini. The hike was a little more adventurous than we expected, but the views were amazing. Panos stopped along the way to give us some history and information about the island. He also gave us the opportunity to finish the trip to Oia via a van, which we did. He helped us explore Oia and helped us return to Fira. Even though we didn’t complete the hike we were glad that we booked this tour!

Panos was the best guide you could possibly ask for. His humor, knowledge, patience (we went slow in some spots) and attitude are his strengths and attributes that would make any parent proud! I took the hike with my wife. We are fortunate enough to travel the globe. We have had countless guides. Panos, by far is the best! I suggest you use his services in Santorini..
