We left Romana for the Caribbean, it was 7 wonderful days we spent on the boat. All the staff are amazing, the process of embarkation and disembarkation super fast, very good organization of both cruise and migration services in Dominican Republic. The only thing I didn't like was the pool area, it's very small for so many people and the buffet is too crowded. Better we went to eat at restaurants like the Crossings and Palace, which have excellent cuisine and excellent service and are included in the all inclusive package. Thank you all very much,

We were picked up from the cruise terminal exactly at 8 am in the morning. There were about 10 people from our cruise signed up this tour. After a 30 minute drive via taxi van, we arrived at the tour office at Bayahibe where we had some paperwork taken care of. After that, we took a very short walk to marina to board our speed boat. The speed boat ride itself was a lot of fun. The sceneries along the way were wonderful - reminded me a lot of the photos on postcards and in calendars. I really enjoyed the "natural pool" stop - the sea water was absolutely calm and only waist high while the coastline seemed very far away. Later the whole group voted and decided not to snorkel, so we ended up spending a bit more time (about 2 hours) at the Saona Island. The beach area we stayed at was kind of rocky, but we still had a great time walking around, admiring the most beautiful beach/island scene. Lunch started a bit after 11. There were chicken, pork chops, rice, salads, vegetables, etc.....They were all fresh and tasty. We paid extra for the lobsters and felt it was money well spent. The boat ride back to Bayahibe was a lot quicker. We were dropped off at the cruise terminal by the same taxi van around 2 pm. We even managed to swim at the pool inside the terminal before the all aboard time =). All in all, it was a great excursion at the La Romana Port!
