Tours starts with your pickup from your resort or hotel. Arrive at a local school to meet with local school children to understand their way of learning and their culture. Arrive at ‘The Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park’ which is Fiji’s first National Park and was established in 1987 to protect a unique natural and cultural heritage site. You may take the 1 hour walk to explore this unique ecosystem or seek a guided tour from the local ranger’s onsite. Tour continues for a scenic drive into the picturesque Sigatoka Valley for fabulous views of Fiji's famous "Salad bowl" - known for its colourful patchwork of fruit and vegetable crops and mountains. Continue further to Lawai Pottery Village, it’s a local Fijian village about 5km outside Sigatoka Town. The tour starts with a village walk for a cultural experience, then back to the showroom for a short display of pottery making and interaction with locals and Kava tasting. Handmade pottery may be purchased at your own expense. After the village visit, arrive at Sigatoka Town for a great shopping experience. Visit the local handicraft shops and markets. Tour includes light lunch.

We did this tour as a family with a young child. Our guide Avi was great! He was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He even waited for us when we were 30 minutes late at our hotel pick up. We were the only ones on the tour so it felt like a private tour. The pottery village was a great insight into traditional life. Be aware that you are expected to make purchases to support the village. The sand dunes were beautiful and scenic. The school visit was fun and the kids full of energy. The local market was a little busy and a few vendors hassled us, so be prepared to say no. Lunch was great. It was at an Olive Tree franchise restaurant. It was hygienic, affordable and tasty. Overall, 5 stars!

A must do when in Fiji! Do not miss this experience. Our tour guide Khon went above and beyond to show us around fiji. He was very personal and made sure we were comfortable and happy! We even had our baby with us and he was absolutely so sweet to our son. He answered all of our questions and had many suggestions for us. Khon gave us a different outlook on Fiji and we truly appreciate it. Thank you Khon!

The reason I give this tour 4 stars is that we did not expect to pay extra for hotel pickup. No one was charging for this and we should have known ahead of time, like mentioned on the website . We got a confirmation email stating the $100 FJD for two people on top of what we already paid to book. If we had known before we booked we would have passed this tour as it was not worth that much money. Luckily our driver Sami was amazing and made this experience unforgettable. He not only was great at driving but also answered all the questions that we had. We saw the Sand Dunes ( 1 h walk , you can also choose the 2 h tour as you get to the park), we saw the town of Sigatoka and stoped for some shopping , as well as visiting the Hindu temple, we went to the Lawai village where they showed us how they make pottery and gave us a tour of the village. The schools does not allow visitors after CoViD so we did not see them, they should take them off the trip description if I can suggest. Lunch was provided as well.
