La Paz and the Sea of Cortez, are one of the most magical and unknown diving destinations of Mexico and the world. Diving with friendly sea lions, playing with their pups, and exploring ship wrecks are but a few of the wonders hidden at La Paz underwater world.
We are diving fanatics and we perfectly know what is needed to have a completely satisfying underwater experience. We make sure you dive with people with your level of experience. We work with small groups because we don’t like crowded dives, and we want our divers to experience authentic, fulfilling adventures.

What To Expect
Our diving expeditions begins at 9 am. We will sail for approximately one hour and a half until we reach incredible places as colonies of friendly sea lions, wrecks or rocky reefs. Apart from the sea lions, it is common to see sea turtles, mobulas, schools of fish and some marine invertebrates such as octopuses or nudibranchs. And sometimes, in the right places and with a little luck, we can see sharks, dolphins, diving cormorants, and giant manta rays. Either after both dives, or in between them, we will stop at one of the many beautiful beaches of La Paz to enjoy a delicious lunch with shade, drinks, and local fresh food. We will return to La Paz at around 3 and 4 pm. This tour is for certified divers, if you’re not certified please ask for a DSD course (additional cost). Equipment rental is not included.

5.00My parents and I dove multiple days with dive master Jesus and had an amazing time with the sea lions and other creature's! While my 12 year son finished his open water certification with instructor Ivan, I felt very comfortable with him taking my son out to finish his skills. Our Boat Capt took us to a location where we saw dolphins jumping in the waves just feet from our boat! And he helped my 75 year old mom put on her fins, Cinderella's style We will be diving with this shop next year!!

5.00I had an amazing few days with MTA doing scuba diving, the espiritu santo island tour, and whale shark snorkeling. All of the guides & captains were so kind and knowledgeable. You can tell they care deeply about the animals and environment/conservation. Diving with the sea lions was one of my most favorite experiences in my life. Highly recommend mta for your trip to la paz!!!

5.00Planned a complete expedition in Baja California Sur with MTA. Did Marlin Run in Bahia Magdalena, visited Todos Santos, Scuba Diving in La Paz (Isla Espirtitu Santo), Scuba Diving in Cabo Pulmo. All this was organized and arranged by MTA and I could not be more happy and fulfilled with the experience. The attention, the human connection, the nice and knowledgable guides (all marin biologists) made this experience once in a lifetime. Big call out to Sergio (Checo), Fernando, and all the other boat captains and guides. This has been the best diving expedition in my entire life. Even going a bit out of season for some activities, the team always gave the extra effort to make sure we had an unforgetable experience. And might be luck, but the ocean provided and gifted us all we wanted to see: Hammerheads, Marlins, Humpbacks, Blue Whale, Sea Lions, Bull Sharks, MAnta Rays, etc, etc.... Special thanks to Karen, who was my PoC on organizing the trip and during the expedition. She always made sure to be in contact explaining how things were going to be conducted, providing alternatives when the port closed, and always making sure we were having a good time, which we did. Highly recomended tour operator for all their BCS activities!

5.00We had two wonderful days of diving at Espiritu island. The Sea Lions are so much fun and a bucket list experience. The Ship wreck was full of life….we swam through schools of Sardines to see the huge turtles sleeping on the deck. A magical two days with Marie, Marianna, and Captain Arturo.

5.00We had an outstanding experience diving with Mexico Travel Adventure in La Paz! From start to finish, the crew was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The dive sites were stunning, and we were lucky enough to see playful sea lions and several giant sea turtles — truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Then, to top off a perfect day of diving, there were dolphins and humpback whales next to dive boat!! The team did an excellent job with safety briefings, made sure everyone felt comfortable, and kept the day running smoothly. The equipment was in good condition and the entire operation was extremely well organized. I highly recommend Mexico Travel Adventure to anyone looking for an unforgettable scuba trip in La Paz. 5.00We had the most amazing scuba and snorkel experience. We arranged this trip when porting in La Paz via a cruise ship. The planning and response rate ahead of time was amazing. We paid extra to have them pick us up only 50 yards from the ship itself. It was super fast on and off. Half of my family was scuba certified and the others did snorkel. Also since we were a family of 8 we commandeered the whole boat. The staff was super helpful explaining everything. Some needed a little refresher. We dive two sites. The first was at a reef just pass the seal island. It was full of life and max deprh 40-45 ft. It was full of life and we saw everything flourishing. Then we went to Espiritu Santo island. It was beautiful and not as much coral but still vibrant and full of life. We saw so many different species of fish. We wrapped with a picnic and swim at a beach feasting on the most tasty ceviche and sandwiches. The equipment was all good. The staff were superb and went above and beyond. They made this trip extra special for me and our family. Thanks for the memories, laugh and fun. We boarded the Black fin with Captain Christian and the two guides were Omar and Mateo
