What To Expect
Have you ever wondered what it is like to breathe underwater? This 3-hour program is an exciting and easy introduction into the picturesque underwater landscape of Cyprus with its crystal clear and calm waters. It includes a 20-30 minutes comprehensive classroom lesson before the dive, explaining everything you need to know about diving. After the theory session we will kit you up and drive 2 minutes down to the beach around the corner. You will take your first breath underwater. Something you will never forget! In shallow water we are practicing a few skills to develop confidence. Once you feel comfortable, we will have a 30-45 minute tour in Blue Bay to a maximum depth of 6 meters. You will have the chance to feed the fish and have some photographs taken. After the dive, we will go back to the dive school, have some refreshments while you are watching your photographs on TV. At the end we will drive you back to your hotel. Our group sizes are limited to only 2 students per instructor or one family per instructor.

5.00My sister and nephew booked onto the discover scuba experience and my self being already qualified tagged along. We had Steve who as fantastic at running through the basics making it enjoyable and well detailed on the basics. On the dive from the beach my sister an nephew practiced the basics and steve made them feel safe and secure. We managed to see an octopus, ornate wrasse bream and an sea horse aswell as a couple of status. Will be booking a proper dive excursion on my return. Thoroughly recommend this dive centre

5.00Taba Diving Centre made my dive unforgettable! The team was professional, friendly, and made safety a top priority while keeping the experience fun. The water was nice, full of beautiful marine life, and the instructors made us feel confident the whole time. Highly recommend for both beginners and experienced divers!
Absolutely fantastic experience. Would recommend to anyone looking to try the bubble maker with young children.

5.00We did the bubble maker experience as my son is 9. Very professional, felt safe and well taken care of throughout the whole experience. Instructor was patient and clearly explained the techniques in a way my son could understand. We are looking to come again next year when my son is 10 to get qualified. We were picked up from our accommodation and dropped off, all equipment provided. Fantastic value for money and I’d recommend to anyone looking to try something different.

5.00Amazing experience! The team were so patient and calm, i didn't feel rushed at all. Felt really relaxed and safe with Pete, everyone is so welcoming. So many pictures and videos taken and emailed for a nominal cost. What a fantastic experience! Can't recommend these guys enough! Thank you :)

5.00I cannot praise TABA highly enough. Whilst I'm an experienced freediver and spearo, my partner isn't a strong swimmer and hadn't scuba dived before - and he became a little terrified when going through the first immersion and getting used to breathing underwater. That's where Superhero Michelle came in. She's the most patient, understanding instructor anyone could ever hope for. Whilst I was belly to the seafloor, concentrating on my breathing at rest, she was assisting my partner so calmly until we were both under the water and feeding fish from our hands. Michelle has inspired me to go back and continue doing my PADI courses so I can do the same for others. I cannot thank you enough. All of the team are spectacular - If you go anywhere in this part of Cyprus to dive, please use TABA. Oh - and make sure you get yourself one of Manuel's crochet cuties before you leave! (I recommend an octopus.)

5.00Once again the team at taba didn’t disappoint, full of enthusiasm and good spirits, and smiling faces. Some even with toothache 😩. I went for multiple dives whilst staying in protoras, the first 2 we visited Green Bay. Good for me to regain the skill set . Here we mooched around the seabed searching for shells and local fish species including sea urchins, sponge, crab. My third dive was over near cape Greco ( this was my fave) . Gear up then carefully step down to the sea shelf which is just under water ( depending upon the swell and wind etc) there are hand rails and steps to assist if needed. Roll back into the water and were away woohoo, crystal clear water, searching for sea critters, there are swim throughs here which are fun, filled with lion fish, cave fish, starfish, a truly amazing world to see and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I will upload some photos for you all too see. So once again a big Thankyou to the taba team , hopefully see you all later in the year.

5.00Dive Centers are a dime a dozen in Cyprus and there are definitely some good ones... But Tapa is just set apart. Pete Cathy and the rest of the crew are absolutely amazing. Super professional all the gear is very well maintained. They know the dive sites in the area very well and everything from the prep before to the dive planning and execution was perfect. I had a blast and even had to go back for a second dive after the first! I'll be back soon in Cyprus and signing up in advance.

5.00Second time diving with Taba (6 years in between) and wouldn’t go anywhere else now. A tight knit team that have been together a long time and it shows. They are not here to rinse you of money; dives are made to suit you and kit is top notch. Dive shop is immaculate with lovely facilities. Price is right for the care and expertise. Dive one: DSD in the bay was chill and Pete was just able to read our minds he has done it so many times. At our pace, nothing he can’t answer and put you at ease with. Talked about doing a second dive and got lots of advice and some additional training on kit. By Pernera beach hotel we saw lion fish, puffer and plenty more. No pressure on second dive but we were hooked. Dive two; we went to Green Bay and Pete was with us again. They knew our kit, so it was ready on arrival and having the same incredible instructor made it feel so much easier. Conditions were not the best but who doesn’t like a challenge and we trusted Pete. Lots of fab pictures and some amazing reassurance underwater and on the surface. It was an experience that set us up for success. If you can do it in a few waves on just a second dive, you can do anything. Really was down to Pete. Great style and trust was there from start. Wooo! Dive three: okay if you have been on a RIB and dived off it you know the deal. We didn’t. I was nervous as a 42 year old mum with a 14 year old daughter. It was exhilarating. I can’t wait to do it again. It is so worth doing and the museum is wonderful. I found it so chill and it meant so much to have the experience. I was looking up and turning over, felt I got more to grips with bouyancy whilst moving around the exhibition. All in all it’s down to the team. Not money making, it’s experience making and with fun. I was nervous, had a touch of anxiety and now I am absolutely BUZZING to get out again. Thank you.
