One of the best Aquariums I’ve ever been to! They had so many great exhibits to see and lots of information. The walk thru tubes with various sharks and fish was really neat and the hands on tide pool exhibit was good too. Lots of interest7ngbstarfish & urchins. It was a little crowded and there were some school kids on a field trip, but that’s to be expected. Once we got away from the kids, we were able to enjoy all the exhibits, but the most impressive was the penguins! They come right up to you behind the glass, and are ver6 inquisitive. I’ve never been that up close to penguins before cause typically their habitat is far away from the actual viewing area. We also did the penguin boat ride, but that was not very impressive. It is ver6 short and we actually saw the penguins closer at their exhibit. The staff was feeding them at the time we were there and that was an added. Fun bonus to watch too. This aquarium was very large and had so much to see. We really enjoyed our day here!

Today I went to the penguin encounter with my girlfriend for our 2nd anniversary and it was incredible!!! Shiela, Henry and Jeff went above and beyond to make this a truly once in a lifetime experience. Worth every penny and will be a day that me and my girlfriend remember for the rest of our lives!

I used to love coming here 10-20 years ago. It was a highlight. I finally had kids of my own and I was so excited to take them here and talked it up as the most wonderful experience they were going to love. It was not. It’s is now dated, sad and crowded. The enclosures are run down, dirty, hard to see into. Many were just empty. Not that you got to see much as the crowds were so awful that you barely got a look in. Between the prams and 3 people deep, it was hard to manoeuvre or enjoy the experience at all. It’s noisy, hot and frustrating. If you’re not good with crowd then id truly avoid. Yes there are some really incredible animals there and the staff were great but the whole place needs a huge update to get back to the prime it once was.

Sea Life Sydney is one of the best aquariums I have been to, and I have been to many across various countries. The aquarium has a variety of sealife with fantastic underwater views and see-through tunnel walkthroughs. Unlike other aquariums I have been to, the glass in most of the enclosures here is spotless not scratched, allowing fantastic views and photos that appear as though you are actually inside the tank. There is a large gift shop at the end of the aquarium, which can still be visited (by entering through the building ‘exit’) even if you did not visit the actual aquarium. I also thoroughly recommend the SharkDive Extreme experience involving scubadiving or snorkelling within the shark aquarium up close to the sharks. I have written a separate review on the SharkDive TripAdvisor page.

Very disappointing! Not worth the money. Large tank needs a good clean. Wouldn't recommend. Expected more. A lot better aquariums in Melbourne & Perth.
