Experience the iconic wonders of the Great Barrier Reef and be amazed as it transitions from night to day in the largest Great Barrier Reef exhibit in the world. Meet the marine turtles, reef sharks & hundreds of tropical fish that call the reef home. Get face-to-fin with over 13,000 animals in an impressive six million litres of water as you explore sub-Antarctic Penguins in the Penguin Expedition boat ride, South Coast Shipwreck, Dugong Island and meet our resident dugong, Pig, to learn all about his heart-warming rescue story.

Lovely afternoon out to the Aquarium. Great interactive displays for the kids to engage with. A couple of hours of entertainment out of the sun, the aquarium is located in Darling harbour too - Great place to explore and make a day of it. We were really impressed by the shark display.

I cannot remember the last time I went to an aquarium but it this one tips the list. We got to touch sea life and see actual penguins!

If you don't mind being surrounded by screaming children then this is a great attraction. Everything was neat and well arranged.
Venue is a B minus, overall experience is a C+.

Average aquarium at best. Nice walk under tank hallways but penguin exhibit is underwhelming and penguin "ride" is about 75 seconds long. Do not expect any feedings, keeper talks or wildlife interactions.

The Sydney aquarium was a very special experience. I was overwhelmed with the beauty of it. To be honest, the first few exhibits were ok and I was a bit skeptical but the tanks on the second half and the penguins were amazing. Highly recommended- try not to miss it!

We loved it! Not your polished commercial aquarium you can see they truly care about the sea life. We enjoyed our visit very much - suer informative. Really lik ethe little penguin boat ride. I could have spent the entire day watching the penguins. The only thing I found a little off was the cleanliness of the bathrooms but that was minor compared to the experience.

Perfect for an hour visit. Combo ticket is worth to visit the sea life aquarium, Madam Tussaud and Sydney Tower Eye. I can do three places at the same day since Sea Life Aquarium is next to the Madam Tussaud and Sydney Tower Eye is about 10 to 15 minutes walking distance.
