History
St. Mary Le Bow Church
The second ost expensive church to be built in the City after st Pauls Cathedral: the sound of the bells have inspired generations of Londoners, and define what it is to be a cockney. Hear about Sir Christopher Wren's novel utilisation of what was here before that provided a stable foundation for this magnificent church.
Postman's Park
A pleasant little churchyard which hides a gruesome secret, and a century ago was an oasis of calm for the workers next door.

I joined the the October Heritage Walks - The Dead of THCP expecting a spooky walk but I was surprised with a history-rich stories related to almost forgotten people buried - one way or the other - in the cemetery. I really appreciate the variety of themed touched with the different stories. Sheldon is an incredible guide and knows very well how to keep you engaged.

Sheldon was a brilliant tour guide and my husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed our Square Mile walking tour. As former journalists we loved the Fleet Street section of the tour. It was so much fun. Sheldon did more the lead us through the city and point out interesting sights. He created an experience for us to really immerse ourselves in the history of the city. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about the square mile and be entertained along the way. (And thanks to Sheldon for taking our photo at St Paul’s!) Five stars, would recommend. 👌🏼
