Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower was built by te French engineer Gustave Eiffel, for the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris. This magnificent technical feat was achieved in two years, two months and five days. It stands 324 meters tall, and the metal structure weighs 7,300 tonnes. Parisians vere scandalised by its metallic look and height. It was built to last 20 years. A radio antenna was added to the top in 1903, saving the tower from demolition. It has now become the monument symblic of Paris.

Yeah, good. This cruise combined with a discovery of Paris by TootBus allowed us to discover the main monuments of Paris from different angles. Everyone can cruise according to their wishes (sitting outside, sitting inside, passing from port to starboard and vice versa depending on the comments of the guide). In addition to the planned cruise we were able to discover an unplanned activity: to be evacuated from the boat by the famous Paris firefighters. Our boat had a problem and became impossible to steer, we were able to dock with the help of other boats under the watchful eyes of the river brigade and be evacuated. Les Vedettes de Paris sent us another boat and we were able to finish our cruise (with 1 hour more on the clock).

Fun way to see the sights. They were organized and the kids had fun. It was just the right amount of time.

The boat was small and perfect for a small group of families. However, it was not as “kid oriented” as advertised. The tour was mostly in French and while the host asked questions to the kids, it was really not very didactic. She definitely did not keep the kids’ attention for long. The bar was pretty expensive and did not have coffee available (terrible for an early morning tour).

The ticketing and boarding process were easy. The snacks ans bar area had good service. It was very difficult to hear the tour guide on the boat. This was disappointing for our family.

Perfect! We just flew in and this was the perfect excursion for our first day in Paris. Go directly to the boat though! You are NOT meeting anyone at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Beyond that small confusion - everything was wonderful! The tour guide was engaging for our kiddos - 6, 8, 10. There were thousands of picturesque opportunities and the ride was gentle and steady.

Boat was clean and in good condition. There wasn’t anything particularly kid specific about this tour though aside from the fact that it was all families with kids on it. The tour guide may have been giving kid friendly information, but it was very hard to hear anything from the overhead system. We had a fine time but were expecting something more specifically geared for kids to engage them.

The ‘family’ cruise mentioned an animation aimed at children, which is why noys chose it. Unfortunately, the guide made the standard comment for adults. There were indeed many children, because many families must have thought the same as us. After 15 minutes, they were bored and reacted in their own way: loudly! Our little girl, whom we bring here for her 10th birthday, remained calm, but was not at all interested in the comments. We made other cultural visits for children in Paris and fortunately they really allowed the children to be interested in the visit. Too bad, there would be a multitude of things to do to involve children in the discovery of monuments from the Seine.

Thankfully I booked this before reading negative reviews and it was fantastic! It was totally focused on kids, the female tour guide was fantastic and made it very fun for the kids asking them lots of questions and then telling them very interesting facts. She did everything in French, English and Spanish and moved around the deck so all the kids were involved. My son loved his certificate and is very busy telling everyone the facts he has learned. Crisps, drinks and crepes easy to buy on the boat and the boat was very clean. Highly recommend!
