• The Jeep was pretty sketchy

  First you need to know that you will likely end up in a jeep with another couple. You don’t get your own car and you’re expected to share. We had four of us in our car. Driving through the hillside was fun, but I was really concerned that our car was going to seize up. So many things didn’t work. The air conditioner didn’t work. The horn didn’t work. The check engine light and low tire pressure lights were on the entire time. The hot oil light came on at one point. We let the guides know about these issues but they seemed very unconcerned about all of it. The card suddenly turned off while we were driving on one occasion. The transmission was not working smoothly. The driver‘s front tire was bald. Somehow we made it to the end of the trip without a major emergency. The Beach they took us two was not very nice. It was very small with waves crashing right on the shoreline. Nobody went in swimming. So we just sat and drank beer for an hour. Not our best adventure with Viator.

• Perfect Family Jeep Adventure in St. Kitts

  Great family-friendly Jeep tour in St. Kitts! Our kids loved the adventure—especially getting off the main roads and onto some really primitive back trails with amazing views. The guide led from a Jeep in front, which made navigating the trickier sections much easier and less stressful. Driving on the left side was a bit intimidating at first, but the guide paced everything well and gave me time to get comfortable. Nice touches like fresh sugar cane and bottled water along the way were appreciated. We had the option to stop at the beach, but skipped it this time since the kids were ready to head back for lunch. Overall, a fun and memorable way to see more of the island!

• Self drive 4x4 tours don't work for St Kitts

  You drive to two different lookout spots that show the exact same view and then drive back to the starting point. The drive really isn't all too exciting compared to other opportunities out there on other caribbean islands (Aruba, Curacao, Jamaica, etc) They then bus you to and from a beach. Given how small the island is I expected to see the entirety of It on this tour or at least more than a quarter of it. Guides were nice and friendly hence the 2 stars and not 1 Honestly, this type of excursion should not exist for St Kitts.

  This was such a great experience! We were a family of five including a 5yo. The jeeps were great and we all fit comfortably in one even with our son’s booster seat. The tour guides were excellent. They gave great background in the island, its history and important spots.

  Our cruise ship stopped in St. Kitts for the day and we had enough time to do the self driving jeep tour. Driving the jeep through the jungle and up the mountains was a blast! We saw monkeys and had time to stop at the beach. I highly recommend Eldon and his team!

  This was absolutely great experience. Eldon was the perfect host. Funny and made sure we had a great time. Loved driving through the hills and getting the sights in. Stopped at the beach afterwards and had an hour and half of sun, drinks and food. Totally recommended.

  This was a fantastic excursion that I would highly recommend. Got to see a good amount of the island through the tour, going through the city, then up the mountain, through some forests, along the coast on the other side, and ending at the beach in Frigate Bay. The Jeeps drove smoothly. I was in St Kitts for a cruise so I was initially worried that we wouldn't make it back in time but our tour guide Eldon eased my concerns and we were back with plenty of time to spare. Eldon was so personable and fun to chat with. Thank you for showing us your island Eldon!!

  For our group we felt that it was an average tour. The tour guides were very funny and nice, Eldon and Nico. They made the trip. For those coming off a cruise, it is probably more exciting. We were staying on the island and had our own transportation to where we could take the pictures from above in the mountains. They stopped twice for pictures in the mountains looking over the airport and the island, which was cool. We did have a jeep break down so 3 of us had to ride with the driver of the tour but we learned a lot about the island.
