What To Expect
Grand Canyon South Rim
As the audio guides play commentary based on your gps location, you can create your own itinerary along the tour route(s) to match your interests and schedule. Or you can use our trip planners for our suggestions on half, full or multi day itineraries. Some of the many highlights are listed below;
Scenic Route 64 travels between the East Entrance and Grand Canyon Village, following alongside the Rim for about 25 miles. This is a lovely scenic drive with many stunning viewpoints to stop and enjoy including Desert View, Navajo Point, Lipan Point, Moran Point, Grandview Point and Duck on a Rock. The stunning climax of the drive is the Desert View Watchtower. A very worthwhile cultural stop and opportunity to learn more about Ancestral Puebloans is available at the Tusayan Museum and Ruins.

5.00We absolutely loved this audio tour! It was everything I was hoping it would be and more! We wanted to do a more self guided experience and still learn about the history of spots along the south rim. The auto play tour along the drive was the perfect solution and for $20 it was a great value!

5.00This app was amazing. It was very informative and we were on our own schedule. We could take as long, or as little, time as we wanted and the narrator just picked up where he left off when we returned to the car. We chose what we wanted to see and what we didn’t want to see. The choice was entirely ours. We saw so much more than what we would have seen had we been on our own. From a price standpoint, it was great. Many of the other tours were cost prohibitive for a family of four. I would absolutely recommend it.

4.00It was informative but I didn't really care for this man's voice. I would have liked to have had more history and tribal information while traveling rather than silence. My cousin asked me to turn it off because he was annoyed by this particular voice.

4.00We found the app to be very helpful, well worth the price. It gave us background info on the important locations to visit along with suggestions on what to look for. The one-hour drive to and from the canyon location was filled with interesting history and commentary. It took us a bit to figure out how to select commentary out of sequence or repeat something that we didn’t get the first time around. My only criticism is there is apparently an accompanying PDF to download that I never found. But I purchased the app on my phone in a hotel room so I didn’t have ideal conditions to search or browse. Again, though, for the purchase price, no complaints. I would use this product again as opposed to the $200 to $400 live tour options that were available for our trip.

5.00I used the self-guided audio tours for both the Grand Canyon and Lake Tahoe. Once we were in the area the tour worked seamlessly based on our location and direction of travel. The narrator is clear, easy to understand, personable and knowledgeable. Although I've been to both locations multiple times the audio tour provided background information that I did not know that added to our understanding of the place and suggested stops that have no signage but were still worthwhile. Directions were clear and accurate. Definitely glad I got the tours and recommend them without hesitation. My only unfulfilled wish was wishing the tour was available in more languages than just English. The friends i was traveling with are German and, though their English is good, they would have been more comfortable with German.
