  Eraldo was our guide, he was fabulous. Incredibly friendly and a great laugh and a good conversationist. He was so amenable to anything we asked. His knowledge base was great. Comfortable car, stopped for a break if we needed. Northern Macedonia is beautiful. The towns, scenery, food was delicious. Beautiful weather, if a wee bit hot for me 😁. I would highly recommend this day trip, we saw lakes, churches, a fortress, wandered around beautiful villages. A thoroughly great day out and could not have had a better guide in Eraldo.

  Had a brilliant time on this excursion to North Macedonia. Everything was really well organised, we had a nice coffee stop on the way, followed by a scenic viewpoint in Albania overlooking beautiful Lake Ohrid. The border crossing was really smooth too, no stress at all. We stopped in Struga for a wander, then had plenty of time to properly explore Ohrid, Samuel’s Fortress was definitely a highlight! Our guide Ilir was absolutely fantastic, really friendly, super knowledgeable about the history of Albania, Macedonia, and the Balkans, and you could tell he had a genuine passion for the region. He also gave me some great food and drink recommendations for Tirana afterwards, which was a lovely extra touch. Nice little extras too, we got a free Albanian souvenir and a bottle of water to start the day. All in all, an excellent trip. Great value, great guide, great day! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

  Fantastic tour. Eraldo is an Excellent guide. Very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough positive things about him. Clean car and good driving. The drive was long but it did not feel it as we passed the time talking. Ohrid and Struga were very charming cities. The sites are incredible. The food was good. In May the weather was great. Spent enough time in both places.

  My sister and I had a great day with Toni. He was so kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. You can tell he’s passionate about the Balkans and creating an incredible experience for those on his tour. He took the time after our tour to send us recommendations for the rest of our trip. The sites we visited were amazing and it was a pleasure getting to do so in such great company. Thank you, Toni, for going above and beyond to make our to day in Orhid so memorable!

  This was a lovely trip taking in the beautiful mountain views of Albania and North Macedonia. On arrival in Ohrid there is an amazing village steeped in history and culture, with small narrow streets all leading to the lake. Our guide, Ardit, was very knowledgeable and answered all questions with great insight. The tour itself was delivered in a small group which made it easier and a very friendly trip, would recommend both Balkan Tours and Ardit for making this a memorable experience
