Korea's most popular ghost tour! One of the top things to do in Seoul. This is the side of Seoul that you won’t find in the tourism brochures. Take a tour down the dark alleys of Seoul's forgotten 600-year history of bloody massacres, seedy hideaways and mourning ghosts. Self-proclaimed clairvoyants on the tour have reported a few sightings, including a little girl who has been seen following the group around. This is not only a ghost tour, but a walk unearthing Seoul's murky and violent past, making the city much more interesting and intimate. Guests also receive an online map of all the haunts, murder sites, and torture chambers mentioned on the tour.
IMPORTANT: Content is rated PG-13. There are some stories of sex & violence. Parents and those with sensitive ears take caution.

5.00We had a brilliant time with Shawn on the Dark Side of Seoul! Not only was he incredibly well informed about the area and the local folklore but his stories were funny and engaging! The tour was well paced and we were able to ask plenty of questions. Shawn even shared a few extra tales of home which made the whole tour feel genuine. Would 100% recommend for a taste of something different and unique in Seoul :)

5.00This was a fascinating tour and the guide, Shawn, is extremely knowledgeable. He introduced us to several places we didn't know about even though we lived in Seoul for 7 years. He was also eager to learn about the supernatural and folkloric experiences of the guests and answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this tour whether you are just visiting Seoul or are a Seoulite yourself. I also recommend getting Shawn's book and comics, as well as listening to his podcast: The Dark Side of Seoul.

5.00Not only great for some spooky stories, but nice to walk around some popular areas of Seoul and learn a bit about Korean culture as well. The guide, Shawn, was super friendly and knowledgeable, and was happy to answer questions along the way. I did the extended experience and had a great time. Shawn also helped me to find my way back to the Metro station before sending me off. I would recommend this tour if you have a free evening on your trip in Seoul :)

My partner and I had a blast and Shawn was able to expertly answer all of our questions. 5.00Joe was an amazing guide! We absolutely loved the tour! Do expect quite a bit of walking, but the history and stories are well worth the calories :) Definitely one for dark tourists, as well as anyone who wants to learn about the lesser known history of Seoul.

5.00Amazing tour with Shawn! I had the chance of having a private tour, being the only one present for this session, and it was really fantastic. Shawn has a lot of super interesting stories and a great storytelling. I was hooked from beginning till the end. He also had some bonus stories that were awesome and fit really well in the experience, even relating to other tours I told him I had. I booked for the 1.5hr tour but kind of regret not getting the longer one. I'll book other tours from this company without hesitation! So I highly recommend :)
