What To Expect
Seoul
★Pick Up From Your Place of Lodging.★ Start the day with pick up from your accommodations in Seoul at 9:30am. Then proceed to your chosen sites, ending with a drop-off at your accommodations around 6:30pm. The start and end times are flexible, as long as the touring day is 9 hours long. However, please be advised that the Seoul area is extensive. Some attractions are several hours from each other in opposite directions, and not compatible on the same day. Depending on which sites you pick, and how far we have to drive, you will realistically have time for three-to-five sites, along with time to stop for one or two meals along the way. Please note that meals and entrance fees are not included in the tour rates. If you want to tour Gyeonggi area such as Nami Island or DMZ, that is also possible. However, in the case of Gyeonggi tour, a distance charge of approximately $50 to $80 is incurred.

5.00Joe was very considerate towards my 77 year old mother who was traveling with me. He was very conscious and mindful of her mobility and advised appropriately where some sights may require more walking, slopes or steps. He was also very accommodating, offered great recommendations and shared local knowledge which make our travel experience all the more interesting and meaningful!

We booked this tour directly with the operator and communicated via email, which was very straightforward and they were responsive. From the start, everything felt well-organized and easy to coordinate. We opted for a full-day private tour in Seoul, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Matt, truly wore many hats—he was our driver, tour guide, and even our photographer. He was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the places we visited, and his conversational English made everything easy to understand and enjoyable. One unexpected perk was traveling in a comfortable passenger van, which honestly made us feel like K-drama celebrities (maybe I’ve been watching too many 😄). It made getting around the city efficient and relaxing, especially since we were traveling with a mixed group that included seniors and small children. The itinerary included popular spots around Seoul, but what really stood out was the flexibility. We took our time at each stop without feeling rushed, and Matt was very accommodating when we made a same-day request to visit the Korean Folk Village. He adjusted the schedule without any issues, and we’re so glad he did—the live cultural performances there ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our day. 5.00ThisisKorea tours are extremely well organized and reliable. When we experienced unexpected flight cancellations and had to completely rework our schedule, their team was incredibly responsive and supportive. They worked closely with us to revise the itinerary, replacing our entire Jeju Island segment with Busan, and ultimately made the trip possible despite the challenges. For the Seoul portion, Joe was an exceptional guide in every sense. His professionalism truly stood out—calm, attentive, and always one step ahead. What impressed us most was how he made it possible for our elderly family members with mobility challenges to experience places that would have otherwise been difficult, if not impossible, to access. He seamlessly navigated crowds, carefully managed the pace of the group, and constantly adjusted the flow of the tour to ensure everyone was comfortable. Despite the complexity of traveling with both elderly parents and young children, Joe made everything feel effortless and well-coordinated. 5.00Yuni was our guide today. She was absolutely wonderful! She was very punctual and kept us informed at all times. She shared a lot of South Korea’s history with us and specific details of each place we visited. We were a family of 7 (ranging from grandparents in their 70s/80s down to children of 7 and 9). Yuni was very accommodating to our needs and planned our day really well where we were able to avoid massive crowds. Everyone of us had a tremendous and memorable day. Thank you Yuni!

5.00We booked a private tour for 3 days in Seoul via This is Korea. Our tour guide, Joe, is super accommodating. He went above and beyond to make sure we visited all the destinations (plus a few extra stops for shopping) on our list. He also recommended a few local restaurants on our trip for us to try, and everything he recommended was DELICIOUS! He’s extremely punctual and communicates effectively. We had a great time with Joe touring Seoul and Nami Island!
