I created this tour for my vegetarian family visiting from abroad, who struggled to figure out what they could safely eat in Seoul’s markets. I spent over a month in Gwangjang Market before my family came, checking ingredients and talking with each cook until I mapped a route for vegetarians.
Since guiding my family, I kept researching and fine-tuning the route. Every stop is now fully plant-based, so both vegetarians and vegans can join with confidence. I handle all ordering and translation, so you can simply enjoy the food and stories.
Important note: Gwangjang is a busy working market; some cross-contact may occur, and the tour is not suitable for strict gluten-free diets or severe food allergies.

If you think vegan food in Seoul is all tofu and tears, let Jung Ho prove you wrong. He’s a brilliant storyteller who’s personally curated an outstanding lineup of market stalls and dishes for vegans. We tried an array of amazing dishes (the portions were huge) everything was delicious, and he even sent us off with vegan snacks as a thoughtful takeaway gift. All in all, a great evening and a wonderful way to experience a different side of Seoul.

This was the best part of our trip! Jungho was wonderful, full of facts and very generous! We learnt so much about Korean food and culture all while having a great laugh! He was able to tailor the tour to our needs (not too spicy) and wants

This was one of the best food tours we have taken! Finding truly vegan food (especially in markets) can be difficult in Korea, so this was an easy worry free way to experience authentic Korean dishes. You will definitely not leave hungry!! Our tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and make the experience very fun. I would recommend this tour for everyone!

It was great! The food is delicious so it's better to go on an empty stomach. Although, don't skip meals! Jungho also has a lot of trivia about the food so I learned a lot of new things today. Definitely recommending this one! Even to people who aren't vegan/vegetarian like me!!

A really lovely and informative tour. The tour guide was very friendly and happily answered our different questions on Korean cuisine and culture, it was very fun to learn. The market is really lively and it was nice walking around it with the tour. The food was really tasty but quite filling, make sure you save lots of room to eat on this tour.

I had the most incredible time on this private guided vegan food tour of Gwangjang Market! From the very start, my guide was warm, welcoming, and full of fascinating knowledge—not just about the food, but also the history, culture, and stories behind the market and its vendors. What really amazed me was how thoughtfully the tour was tailored for a vegan experience in a place that’s famous for traditional Korean street food. My guide knew exactly where to go, introducing me to hidden gems and vendors I never would have struggled to find on my own. Every stop offered something unique—crispy Mandi. freshly made tteok, savoury mung bean pancakes, bibimbap, Beyond the food, the experience felt personal and immersive. If you’re vegan—or just a curious foodie—this tour is an absolute must-do in Seoul. It’s more than a food tour; it’s an authentic, joyful, and truly delicious cultural experience.

We loved the vegan food tour at Gwangjang Market and would highly recommend it! It was such a treat to try a variety of Korean specialties (or their vegan versions) without the stress of having to find vegan options ourselves. Everything we tried was delicious. There was a lot of food, so definitely come hungry; you’ll get your money’s worth! Our guide, Jungho, was fantastic: attentive, kind, and spoke excellent English. He made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

We just arrived in Seoul for the first time ever and this tour was one of the first things we did. The Koreans love meat so you need to know what you can eat. We had a fantastic guide, we tried so many tasty things and he knows his stuff. The food market in itself is also exactly what you hope it is. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you're vegan or vegetarian.
