I created this tour for my vegetarian family visiting from abroad, who struggled to figure out what they could safely eat in Seoul’s markets. I spent over a month in Gwangjang Market before my family came, checking ingredients and talking with each cook until I mapped a route for vegetarians.
Since guiding my family, I kept researching and fine-tuning the route. Every stop is now fully plant-based, so both vegetarians and vegans can join with confidence. I handle all ordering and translation, so you can simply enjoy the food and stories.
Important note: Gwangjang is a busy working market; some cross-contact or cross-contamination may occur, and the tour is not suitable for strict gluten-free diets or food allergies.

5.00Highly recommended, Jungho was an excellent host and shared so much about Korean culture. It was great to try some Korean foods usually off limits to veggie people. This is Jungho’s handcrafted and researched tour, he has put so much work in and it shows. I highly recommend!

Jungho does a great job of making sure you have fun while enjoying the wonderful food. This was definitely the highlight of our vacation. If I ever go back to Seoul, and I hope I do, I would do this tour again. It was that good.

5.00I went on this vegetarian/vegan food tour with Jung-Ho on my first day at Seoul with Gwangjang Market. We had a lively small group with people from multiple continents. We got to sample Korean foods from appetizers to desserts as well as several alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Overall was very well organized and it was nice to get a good flavor of Korea without having to worry about whether there was meat or fish in each dish. Would recommend to anyone interested in Korean food but has vegetarian/vegan food restrictions

5.00This was a real highlight of our visit to Korea. Being able to have a full Korean street food experience without having to worry about what we were eating was easily worth the ticket price. Jungho was a fantastic guide who really went the extra mile to make sure all guests were well taken care of and that we had the best experience possible. We bumped into him again after the tour had finished and he even took us to a local bar that we would never have found ourselves. I am not usually a fan of guided tours, but I would 100% recommend Jungho for anyone looking for an authentic vegan experience!

The tour itself went far beyond simply tasting food. Jungho carefully selected and personally verified every dish to ensure it was genuinely vegan, which gave us complete confidence to relax and enjoy the experience. As a first-time visitor to Korea, I found those insights especially valuable and memorable. 5.00What a great tour! It was specifically tailored to vegans but I think anyone would enjoy the food. Each location and food items were hand picked by our guide through his personal research. He was interesting and I enjoyed listening to all the things he shared. There was plenty of food to fill you way up. And we got to cut to the front of the line at Twisted Donuts!! Our guide also gave us each a parting gift that was thoughtful - and delicious.

5.00This was an amazing experience with Jungho where you get to try food from a local market that would normally not be vegan. It is prepared especially for your group. He gives an explaination of what ingredients are normally used versus what is used to prepare the food in a vegan way. We also got to try different alcoholic drinks specific to South Korea and learned a lot about the food + drinking culture. He even prepared little goodie bags at the end of the tour with vegan snacks since they are a little difficult to find throughout South Korea. Overall, an amazing tour that we would recommend for vegetarian and vegan folks!!
