One of the earliest towns to be founded in California was Sacramento during the Gold Rush. Old Sac is committed to restoring historical structures so that we can think back on the past. People from all over the world relocated to Sacramento with the hope of getting wealthy. But a number of tragedies, including floods, fires, and a troubled history, cast a shadow on those dreams.
We will visit haunted trains, boats, and tunnels throughout our tour. Discover what lurks below the city's streets. Learn about the disasters that took place in the region during the early days of rail travel. Meet two businessmen that created this city during the Gold Rush and learn about a young child whose heart-warming story has touched people's hearts all around Sacramento. What To Expect
The Delta King is the first stop on our itinerary. She is a riverboat that has been transformed into a restaurant and hotel. Her interesting past comprises multiple moves and bankruptcy. The Delta King has reportedly been visited by three different ghosts.
California State Railroad Museum
Our next stop is the California State Railroad Museum. The museum was built by railroad enthusiasts in 1937. The museum contains 21 complete railroad cars, linked to exploitation and death, with the ghosts said to be appeased by something called the Hungry Ghost Festival.

4.00I got a great tour this evening. I was the only patron, but the tour still went on. I loves the stories and learned about the town. I hope to have time to go back to some of the haunted spots before I leave and check them out again.

1.00I attended the 7pm Sacramento Ghost Tour on Thursday the 29th April (and bought the ghost plush add-on) and extended tour and the experience did not meet expectations. The ghost plush included in our booking was not available (a refund has since been processed), which was disappointing. The tour itself was disorganised. The guide started early and did not check for arriving guests, which resulted in us missing the beginning and key parts of the tour. This caused confusion throughout, with references made to content we had not seen. Only 2 out of the 4 advertised stories/locations were delivered, and the tour finished early. When asked about the missing locations, we were told they were no longer operating, despite these being part of the advertised experience. The storytelling lacked depth and felt largely anecdotal, and the overall experience did not match what was promoted. I also contacted the company directly, and while the plush refund was processed, they have not acknowledged or addressed the broader concerns about the quality and delivery of the tour. Overall, the experience felt incomplete and did not reflect what was advertised. I would not recommend this tour.

3.00Tour was interesting but a little disappointing. Did not get into the buildings the tour guide talked about. Guess you need to pay extra for that. The meet up place was located in front of the public bathrooms and the smell was horrible. Plus the guide should have been carrying a lantern so we could identify him but he did not. That was the most disappointing thing. It was okay.

5.00this was a fun experience. Not as much ghost hunting as the history of the buildings of Sacramento...so not scary at all....Ethan was a great tour guide and fun and engaging. He knew his history and was enthusiastic and funny. This is a totally outdoor experience, so make sure you bring a sweater as the tempature in Sacramento can change drastically when the sun goes down

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and had a way of bringing Sacramento’s haunted past to life with engaging stories and just the right amount of eerie suspense. The walking route through Old Town was scenic and full of charm, and each location had its own unique tale that kept us on the edge of our seats. Whether you’re a history buff, a ghost enthusiast, or just looking for a fun night out, this tour is an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Sacramento!

5.00Wasn’t quite sure how a walking tour could effectively conjure up the history of Sacramento with its paranormal activities, but our guide did amazing job. I’ll never look at old Sac the same way again. 🤗
