One of the earliest towns to be founded in California was Sacramento during the Gold Rush. Old Sac is committed to restoring historical structures so that we can think back on the past. People from all over the world relocated to Sacramento with the hope of getting wealthy. But a number of tragedies, including floods, fires, and a troubled history, cast a shadow on those dreams.

We will visit haunted trains, boats, and tunnels throughout our tour. Discover what lurks below the city's streets. Learn about the disasters that took place in the region during the early days of rail travel. Meet two businessmen that created this city during the Gold Rush and learn about a young child whose heart-warming story has touched people's hearts all around Sacramento. What To Expect

The Delta King is the first stop on our itinerary. She is a riverboat that has been transformed into a restaurant and hotel. Her interesting past comprises multiple moves and bankruptcy. The Delta King has reportedly been visited by three different ghosts.

California State Railroad Museum

Our next stop is the California State Railroad Museum. The museum was built by railroad enthusiasts in 1937. The museum contains 21 complete railroad cars, linked to exploitation and death, with the ghosts said to be appeased by something called the Hungry Ghost Festival.

Ethan was a great guide for our ghost tour. He was funny, charismatic, and informative. The tour made for entertaining night for me and my teen kids.

Kat the tour guide was great. Learn some interesting things about Old Sacramento that I never knew. Very enjoyable. The only issue is that the app said one address that we should meet on the bike trail and then the link said another Front Street so we had a hard time finding where we were supposed to meet.
This experience was a solid 10/10! My friend and I had such a wonderful time exploring Old Sacramento.

This Tour was a 10/10 experience! My friend and I had such a wonderful time exploring Old Sacramento.It was incredible hearing all the history, especially when mixed with the spooky facts. Our guide, Lydia, was amazing! she was packed with fun facts and historical insights that made the entire tour absolutely fascinating and a great memory making experience. Lydia was exceptionally knowledgeable, answered every question, and truly made our night special. Her kindness went above and beyond! she helped us find our meeting spot when we first arrived lost, and even ensured we safely found our way back to our cars afterward. She is a truly sweet person, and I would absolutely love to do this tour again! If you choose this tour, definitely request Lydia as your guide, you won't regret it!

The tour was fun and I really enjoyed learning about Sacramento, the tour it self felt like it needed more spooky elements delivered in story form.
Do not sign up for this. You will be haunted by the horrible experience.

This was absolutely the worst ghost tour I’ve ever taken. The presenter was not prepared, and they read from a 3 x 5 card. There was no emotional ties or exciting stories that were told regarding ghost hauntings. History was good, but the complete tour was a disaster. We left after the second story.

We enjoyed ourselves, but like some of the other reviews I read, it wasn’t very professional, but our guide was very sweet and tried her best. We would like to do the underground tour next.

This was a very short tour, less than 40 minutes through a very seedy part of Old Town. Lots of bums out. The guide was more anxious to be done than we were. For an extra 7 dollars you can buy a gadget that supposedly lights up with paranormal activity but it never lit up anywhere but the bench we sat down on. The guide just kind of waved her hands at buildings with no actual story or information. Sad waste of time and money.

Just ok. I’ve been on other ghost tours that were amazing but this one didn’t live up to a true ghost tour. The guide was good and knowledgeable, but made a lot of jokes. We ordered an EMF detector and two ghost plushies. The plushies were not available so he gave us a few more detectors which were not needed and one stopped working within 5 min of the tour. The detectors were not like others ones I’ve had where there’s audio as well. My son left a review on another site and immediately got a response asking to email their guest relations dept with our booking information which I did the next day. Here it is a few days later and no response. I emailed again asking for a response and still nothing. I requested my money back for the plushies but looks like I’ll be going through my bank to get the money back.

Enjoyable, guide was adept and personable. Stories were so/so. The Old Town is always a fun place to explore and it is a safe place to be after dark.

The tour guide was very inexperienced. Read the tour out of a notebook. We left the tour before it was done. Was hard to hear & stay focused. She was very boring, not a good storyteller at all.
