What a fab tour. Howard was entertaining and really looked after his guests. Took us to an off the track ghost town for a nice cuppa and then onto cradle mountain. Weather was varied which was to be expected but the walls and views made up for this. Great end to the tour was a quick stop in Penguin- quirky town. Highly recommend doing this if stopping at Burnie

Despite a shaky and late start and through no fault of the operator as this was entirely due to 4 people no showing at the designated meeting place - Howard waited for at least half an hour and endeavoured to contact them and then went to the visitors centre in case they inadvertently went there, to no avail, having done this we still managed to cover all that had been outlined in the tour description - fabulous tour which we really enjoyed. Howard was great and very informative and ensured we had a wonderful time.

Do not use this tour operator. I have requested a refund for this booking but the supplier has refused. I booked a Cradle Mountain Tour for 2 people and paid £204 - 6-8 hours. After I booked it he said that there was not enough time would I accept an alternative. I agreed we would accept Leven Canyon and a wildlife centre. I have messages showing that we were given a start time of 7.30-8am and that someone would hold up a card in the port with our name. I messaged to let him know that our phones did not work in Australia so we would not receive messages unless there was a wi fi network. We got off our ship at 7.20 and were told by the Cruise Director and the Port security that we were only allowed on a shuttle bus to the town and that all independent tours had to start from the town. We were not allowed to walk in the port area. Never the less we trusted the tour operator's instructions and waited until 8.07. During our wait the ship's Cruise Director rang company and at 8.45 was told they had just picked up the Guide and would be a few minutes ( we later found out that the Guide had been picked up in Penguin which is a town about 20 minutes away.) All the while we were being told that independent tour operators were not allowed in the port and that passengers were being sent into town on the shuttle bus. As the operator had not turned up when he said he would we decided to follow the port authorities instructions and took the shuttle into town at 8.15. On arrival the town's deputy mayor was greeting all the shuttle busses and we explained what was happening. Over the course of the next hour she rang the company's number 5 times and each time was told that someone would phone back with an update. No one ever did. Eventually at 9.20 the tour operator arrived to pick us and one other couple up. There were 9 other people on the bus and we found out later that they were given a pick up time of 9am. The mini bus was an uncomfortable hired bus with very little legroom (we are tall). We were taken to the wildlife centre and on the way the guide asked over the microphone what everyone would prefer to do on the way back which was surprising as we were assuming we were going to the Leven Canyon. We couldn't really hear what was said as we were at the back of the bus being last on. We were there about 1hour 15 minutes I think, the entry fee was 28au$ Once back on the bus we stopped for about 10 minutes at a waterfall with a trickle of water as it was the dry season and then told we were going to have tea/coffee and biscuits at Fern Gully. This was a public footpath next to a river with a wooden shelter, under which we were given a flask of lukewarm water to share and coffee or tea bags. We were due back at the ship by 2.30. By 2.00 we were getting rather concerned and got back into the very hot bus. After a while my husband asked if we should be leaving, not trusting his time keeping. We did get back to the ship at 2.25. So 5 hours in all. We did not see the Leven Canyon, never mind Cradle Mountain which we had booked, and before the tour the whole amount of money for a 6-8 hour trip was taken. I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for a refund and since messaged him through the system but he is refusing. Apart from that I do not think this Tour Operator should be allowed on the site as the organisation was so poor and resulted in a very stressful day. We were not really interested in the Wild life centre but there were children on the bus who were so we did not complain. We have done other trips through Viator and Tripadvisor and have always found them to deliver what is expected and turn up on time. I have submitted a complaint to Viator.

We really loved our tour with Howard and Yarna. They were lovely people. Catered to the group need. Enjoyed the small grip of 10-12.

It was a lovely relaxing tour towards Cradle Mountain and surrounding areas. Howard was happy to show us things we were interested in. Good weather, views and company.
