Very nice tour! Hit a lot of areas of the garden, which allowed us to see the various cherry blossom trees. Learned about history of the garden and even a little bit of Japan government. Meeting spot was super easy to find. Tour guide Kenichi was great!!

Joining the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden 2-Hour Walking Tour was one of the most refreshing highlights of my Tokyo trip. If you’re looking for a calm escape from the city’s fast pace, this tour delivers exactly that — and more. The garden itself is stunning and incredibly well maintained, blending Japanese, English, and French landscape styles into one harmonious space. Walking through the different zones felt like experiencing multiple worlds in one visit. From the tranquil Mother and Child Woods to the elegant tea house and wide open lawns, every stop offered beautiful photo opportunities. What truly elevated the experience was the guide. The pacing was relaxed and comfortable, and the explanations about the garden’s history and seasonal highlights made the visit much more meaningful. It never felt rushed, and the small-group format created a personal, intimate atmosphere.
