• Better Communication Needed to Set Traveler Expectations

  The boat ride and the river were beautiful. However, the ride to get to the boat was extremely long and bumpy in an over-crowded van. The road was being worked on for nearly the full length of the journey, making it even more bumpy and uncomfortable. The communication by the tour company was non-existent. We weren't provided any instruction or direction upon arrival. There was very little communication about the weather or places being closed due to it being the shoulder season at the destination. This could be a beautiful experience with a bit more communication provided by the tour company, so travelers know better what to expect.

  The excursion was great, the lake and the river are beautiful, but we travelled with Leo travel and tour. The bus driver is very unfriendly, not speak a word of English and drives very uncautiously we were very afraid.

  Tourist overcrowding, no taking time fast, fast no choice a salubrious, not quiet, too much different music too much barbecue smoke, restaurants, an experience to avoid pity the setting is beautiful

  In advance, scenically, it was the most beautiful part of Albania. The Shala River is truly fantastic. The excursion itself generally has no guide, is therefore rather mediocre to poorly organized. The driver(s) to whom you are handed over do not speak a shred of English and generally cannot help with questions at all. The way to the ferry port via a mogul/gravel track, adventurous. Arrived at the ferry port, chaos. You get, among hundreds of other people, transported to some free boat and off you go. Another hour by boat to the destination, this way and also at the destination, as I said beautifully, worthwhile in itself. Once there, prices prevail as in Central Europe for food, drink and sunbeds. The quality of everything, underground. On the spot you have 4 hours before the chaos and the 3 hours return trip start again. Exhausting (and I am 37 years old). Conclusion: Scenic, on the way and on site, beautiful. Organization mediocre. Think carefully if you want to take a total of 6 hours of transport to this place for 4 hours, with tens of other people. Mass tourism has arrived here, which can also be seen in the amount of waste generated.

  We loved the trip. Our guides were very helpful and friendly. We forgot our water shoes on the boat and the guides managed to locate them and get them back to us quickly. Overall an amazing day spent in a bus, on a boat and by the riverside.

  Pros: good driver despite the pitiful roads, air-conditioned bus, easy start, breathtaking scenery, refreshing river 😊 The least: too tight in the boat because maximum profitability, rubbish on the lake in some places, tunnel before boarding by boat to do on foot because it is Sunday but not for all buses obviously We ate on site, one of the restaurants overlooking the river (it's full of restaurant and bar!) magnificent view and good!   What a fun-filled day, from the beauty of the lake to the refreshing river. Our driver was very safe on the twisting roads from Theth to the Lake. The river visit is very touristy, but then again that's what we are.

  It is a long trip, where the way out is certainly beautiful. This applies to the ride with the van as well as with the boat. Then you could entertain yourself However, the water was freezing. That wasn't exactly inviting. Unfortunately, the 3-4 hour return ride to Shkodër is via the same route. I expected more from the boat trip. The surroundings are beautiful, but also monotonous

  We took the bus to shkoder , and the whole trip went perfectly. Then we boarded boats to go to Koman, an unforgettable experience! Lake Koman and the Shala River is a natural wonder with its crystal clear and wild waters The meal was simple, tasty and very affordable, with fresh produce. In addition, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which added a personal touch to this day. I highly recommend this agency to all those who wish to live a beautiful adventure! • A stunning unique location

  If you are in Shkoder this is a 'must do' trip. The destination is both stunning and unique in our extensive travel experience, a small piece of paradise away from it all. The journey is long but the reward is worth the effort. The guys work hard to get you there as soon as possible and support you along the way. The Komani Lake, the Dam and Shala River are a photographers dream. Don't miss it . Tc
