If your ship is late or delayed and you have an early tour, don't panic! We will wait and give you reasonable and sufficient time to get off the ship so that you can still enjoy your tour. Remember to keep our number handy just in case you need to reach us in case of a delay or very early arrival.

You should bring along the following items: bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and cash for lunch, drinks and souvenirs. Drinks on the tour bus are complimentary.

While shopping or at the beach, your items will be secured in the front cab of the tour bus.

If Shopping is part of your tour, once you're finished, we meet at the Liberty Bell in Emancipation Park. Shops close at 1:00 PM on Sundays.

Coki Beach and Sapphire Beaches are free but Magens Bay has an entrance fee of $7.00 per person.

Your Tour Package does not include the beach entrance fee, Coral World entrance fee or any other activity.

Free drinks are provided on the tour buses all day for our passengers.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

What To Expect

Godfrey Tours

Godfrey Tours will pick you up at your ship or hotel at and take you shopping in downtown Charlotte Amalie. Once done with shopping, you can board again for a scenic two hour sightseeing tour of the island. Our tour will take you to the Mafolie Hotel to overlook the Bluebeard and Blackbeard's pirate castles, then up to the highest point, the mountain top where you will find the famous rum daiquiri. We'll continue the tour and enjoy the view of Hassel island, Water Island, and the island of St. Croix along the way. We'll continue to Sir Francis Drake seat, (the British pirate) overlooking Magens Bay. Once we get to the beach area, you can select the beach of your choice (Megan's Bay, Coki Beach or Sapphire Beach) and enjoy for another two hours after which we will take you back to your ship on time. Beach entrance fee is NOT included in package price.

The entire process was very disorganized. We had no continuity on the transport. Getting on the bus was not an easy task if you are older or have some mobility issues. The guide/driver’s communication in the bus was not clear and almost impossible to understand. The tour was advertised for 5 to 6 hours but lasted around 4 only. The tour was advertised to make the final stop at a bay for beach time but that never happened.

They changed the pick up time one hour I was scheduled to be picked up. Then they took us the the cruise ship terminal to pick up for twenty minutes, then drop us downtown for 30 minutes, and we had to stand and wait another 30 minutes for them to pickup, they didn’t do the scenic two hours sightseeing tour of the island, never even made it to Magens Bay. This tour is a scam would not recommend it to anyone horrible.
Do not use Godfrey tours! Horrible experience.

I want to preface this with review by saying that I’m in my 20s, I’m obsessed with traveling, and I do days and days of research before I go ANYWHERE. My husband and I have gone on 7 international vacations (mostly cruises) since getting together almost 5 years ago. I read reviews before booking anything and I’d never book anything if I thought this is how it would go. I have also never written this detailed of a review in my life but thought this was pretty important. Anyway, please read my negative review of Godfrey tours. We had the “shop see & slash” st Thomas tour booked and the meeting time was 9:30 from crown bay cruise port. Our guide arrived 15 minutes late and then when we got to the bus he started explaining what we were going to do and decided to take a phone call mid explaining. Some of the guests were talking and when he got off the phone he didn’t say anything he just stood there silently waiting for everyone to be quiet. When everyone realized he was waiting they stopped talking and he continued explaining. He didn’t “tour guide” much on the way to destinations. And when he did say something we couldn’t hear because the speaker system sucks. We got to our first stop and he said he’d be back to pick us up at 11 one of the ladies asked if he was going to be on time and his exact response was “yes, and I was time earlier too”. When we got back to the bus after the stop he apparently picked up more people so we all had to squish into the rows… literally couldn’t move my arms. It was worse than being in the middle seat on an airplane. We also left this stop 11 minutes after he said we would. After our second stop there were so many people on our bus that my husband and I had to sit on separate rows. Our guide and the owner of Godfrey tours had nothing to say about it. Our guide said “you should’ve been here early” even though we got there immediately after getting the famous daiquiri and we were there 7 minutes before the time we were supposed to. My husband told him he could’ve been early at our other stops and he once again said he was on time even though he wasn’t. On our third stop I got out so some people on my row could go see and the driver decided to move spots, started reversing (without looking to see if anyone was standing there), and almost ran over me before I could get back in to the bus. Luckily the row behind me realized and told me to move so I didn’t get ran over. The guide said nothing when we told him he almost ran me over. Next time we saw the owner (he was driving another packed full tour bus) we told him and he also had nothing to say. Our last stop was the beach. We went to Megan’s bay for 2 hours and we had planned to get a taxi if he was 5 minutes past the time we were supposed to meet. But thankfully this time (the first time the whole tour) he was on time. So we did make it back to the port on time to catch our ship. Also, only 8 people (including us) stayed for the beach. Everyone else was so done with our tour guides and/or were too scared to miss the ship, so they just skipped the beach all together and went back to the ship early. Atleast half of the people in our bus expressed their concerns to our driver and Godfrey himself and all they could do was say “well sorry”. Some of the people who were on the tour as well said they’ve used Godfrey tours in the past and it wasn’t like this. So you may or may not have this experience if you choose to use them. But I wouldn’t risk it. All in all I’ve had better tours from taxi drivers. St. Thomas is beautiful but I definitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND seeing it with Godfrey tours.

The driver was 45mins late,she mentioned she wasn’t supposed to work that day, but they call her in for the day. So it was a last minute thought,we were promised sodas and we never got them.

Rough start. Changed pickup location then didn't show up. Half hour later showed for another group but took us and another family with this later group. Communication was zero. However, once we were on, driver/guide was wonderful. Will recommend but patience is needed.
