Known as the “Creator of the Earth,” this ancient Inka oracle was a site of profound spiritual importance, hosting grand festivities and sacred offerings. Visiting Pachacamac is the perfect introduction to the Andean world before you head to Cusco and Machu Picchu. It provides essential context for Inka engineering, religion, and social structure. On this walking tour, you will explore huge mud-brick pyramids, the Inka Palace, and original trail networks. Enjoy the unique contrast of the Green Valley against the desert landscape, culminating in an impressive ocean view from the Temple of the Sun.
Centro Historico de Lima
Step back in time as we explore the architectural crown jewels of the city. You will visit the legendary Gran Hotel Bolívar, famous for its majestic design and the storied past that lingers in its halls. From there, we’ll admire Plaza San Martín, a landmark that stands as one of Lima’s most iconic symbols of elegance. Accompanied by our expert local guide, you will discover the hidden palaces and grand mansions tucked away in the city center. The journey culminates at the magnificent Saint Francisco Monastery, where we will venture deep into the impressive underground catacombs to uncover the secrets of colonial Lima.
Circuito Magico Del Agua
The Magic Water and Laser Light Show is one of the main attractions Lima City has to offer by night. It holds the Guinness record for the largest fountain complex in the world, displaying 13 different fountains. Interactive, full of colors and fun.

This was an excellent option if you have an overnight stay or 2 day stop on a cruise. It is very well organised with great guides and drivers and very comfortable vans. The information we received throughout the 2 days was excellent, there is a lot of walking required but relatively flat. Meals were absolutely amazing. Would totally recommend

This was a fantastic 2 day tour. It commenced with a visit to the settlement area to experience the work done by local women to enhance the lifestyle of the residents. Very sobering but wonderful visit. This was followed by a delicious lunch of local food. We then travelled to the historical centre of the city to see the beautiful buildings and the fascinating catacombs. Another meal was followed by a visit to the water park. A long but great day. The second day was a visit to the desert to see ancient Inca ruins. Amazing.

We did two separate one day excursions with Haku Tours in Lima on 1 and 2 September 2025. We did them both with a guide and driver. We deliberately chose a personal tour when we visited as part of a cruise and, while the cost is higher, we had an excellent experience. We were picked up and driven everywhere in comfort. We had one to one interaction for the whole day and we learned so much. We could modify times and (for a very small extra cost) even our itinerary. Everything was just perfect. The guide and driver were both helpful and informative and very attentive to our needs. Definitely a 10!

What a great two day tour we had with Haku tours. Day one was led by Amadeo, our guide and Julio, our driver. during which and despite the heavy traffic, we managed to visit all the sites on the advertised itinerary. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and a light evening meal and at no point did we feel rushed. Amadeo was informative, helpful and very friendly throughout and is a credit to the company. For the second day of the tour, Cesar was our guide and Louis, our driver. Louis negotiated the traffic with ease and Cesar managed our visit to the shanty town with great sensitivity and insight. His compassion and respect for the local population was evident throughout and we couldn’t help but enjoy his enthusiasm for all things ‘Peru’. Time management by both guides was excellent and we’d recommend this tour and this company without hesitation.

We had an incredible 2-day city tour with Haku Tours, and I cannot recommend them enough! From start to finish, their organization, passion, and commitment to the local community made this an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Leonardo, was hands down the best guide we’ve ever had! He’s a historian, a storyteller, and an educator, and he made every site we visited come alive. Ask for Leonardo—you won’t regret it! He even travels over 2.5 hours each way to meet the tour group, and his dedication to sharing Lima’s history and culture is unmatched. Day 1: Pachacamac Ruins, Old Lima & Magic Water Show We started early and made our way to the Pachacamac archaeological site, where we explored the fascinating ruins of this pre-Incan and Incan religious center. Leonardo’s deep knowledge of the Inca civilization and their customs gave us a whole new appreciation for Peru’s rich history. Lunch was a highlight—authentic Peruvian cuisine at a local restaurant where I had my first Pisco Sour (and loved it!). In Lima’s historic center, we visited: ✔️ Plaza Mayor and the Government Palace ✔️ San Martín Square ✔️ San Francisco Church and Catacombs—still an active monastery! The catacombs tour was fascinating, and Leonardo made sure we understood their historical and cultural significance. To end the night, we visited Parque de la Reserva to see the Magic Water Circuit, a breathtaking light and water show that tells the history of Peru. This was an amazing way to wrap up the day before heading back to the ship. Day 2: Shanty Town Tour & Local Market Experience This was one of the most eye-opening and moving experiences we’ve ever had while traveling. Haku Tours has special permission to visit a shanty town, allowing us to see the real Lima beyond the tourist sites. We met the community leader, an extraordinary woman who has dedicated her life to improving the lives of others. Her accomplishments left us speechless: ✔️ Drove drug dealers out of the area ✔️ Runs a soup kitchen feeding 1,000 people daily ✔️ Opened a daycare so parents can work ✔️ Started a school for women and adults ✔️ Fought for infrastructure improvements like roads and staircases ✔️ Secured a donation from the Taiwanese ambassador to help feed the community Her story of resilience and leadership was truly inspiring. Afterward, we visited a vertical market, where Leonardo introduced us to Peru’s incredible variety of fruits and vegetables. This was a great way to experience local life and cuisine. Why Choose Haku Tours? ✅ Non-Profit Company – Proceeds support local communities ✅ Small Group Tours – More personalized experience ✅ Expert Guides – Leonardo was absolutely amazing! ✅ Unique & Authentic Experiences – Go beyond the usual tourist spots We returned to the ship feeling like we had truly experienced Lima, not just as visitors, but as guests welcomed into the community. If you’re visiting Lima, Haku Tours is the BEST choice! Book with them—you won’t regret it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommend! #HakuTours #BestTourInLima #TravelWithPurpose #LimaPeru #Pachacamac #ShantyTownTour #LocalExperience #LeonardoTheBest #SupportNonProfits

Our guides were terrific and we couldn't have asked for a better 2-day Llima experience. The lunch and dinner locations were wonderful and we got a chance to sample some Peruvian style cuisine.
