Great trip in 4 x 4 through the dunes and rocks to discover wild plants balanced with a visit to an historic town . Could have moved closer to the flamingos but we had a very informative guide.

Four of us had a great time with Martin of Red Dune Safaris shore excursion. Martin is very knowledgeable and courteous. He answered all our questions and explained things in details. Owner JP is very responsive in responding to my inquiries before the trip to ensure peace of my mind. I highly recommend booking the trip with Red Dune Safaris.

This was our second tour with Red Dune Safaris. Our ship was late getting into port but JP and Martin still managed to pick us up at the new berth and give us a full tour. The scenery was amazing and we learned a lot about Namibia. Would highly recommend.

After our cruise ship was refusing entry to the Harbour due to strong swells, we finally docked at the cargo section. The harbour would not allow us to disembark! Luckily I corresponded with JP through what’s app and we could keep each other informed of the progress. After many hours delay we were finally allowed to disembark with JP ready and waiting. JP managed to squeeze everything thing with the exception of shopping in Swakopmund. It was fantastic and amazing landscape so different to anything seen before. Well done JP

An enjoyable day with a varied mix of attractions. The visit to the oasis was very interesting and the restaurant there was remarkably cheap considering it is the only one for thirty miles in each direction. Our driver/guide was friendly and informative. Dune 7 is over-rated.

Pick up from Port on time. Saw what was advertised but nothing more. 10 seat vehicle was rough and Guide didn't turn on air con so windows were down and smell of fuel strong inside. Minimal commentary could not be heard as no microphone and truck noisy. Lunch at Oasis was tasty and a welcome break, with a badly needed toilet available. Was not good the Guide added to one of our lunch orders and didn't offer to pay... we would have offered but he expected it ! After speaking with people who did other tours we would not recommend this tour or guide. Basic and we felt Guide was disinterested.

Four of us were treated to an outstanding shore excursion with a wonderful guide named Vincent. Vincent grew up in Namibia & shared his rich knowledge of the culture, terrain, and local history. We started with a photo op of flamingos at the shore, and, after a short drive, we were already surrounded by sand and dunes. Of course, we stopped at the famous Dune 7 where Vincent encouraged us to climb all or part of it if we desired, but our group was content with picture taking. We traveled to the "moon landscape" with its beautiful hills and dark-ish craters; it was a bit eerie to behold. I enjoyed the Goanikontes Oasis where we stopped for a break, a beer (on our own), and a couple souvenirs. The Oasis seemed like a holdover from a more relaxed and simpler time. We proceeded to Swakopmund via an unmarked route known to Vincent which allowed more chances to take in the landscape. Swakopmund is a lovely seaside town with swimming, boating, and nice restaurants & shops. Time to return to our ship after a splendid day! Thank you, Vincent!
