We begin the day with our city loop tour where we will provide guided commentary as we explore the streets of Hobart and visit its major attractions and landmarks. Our first destination is the awe-inspiring kunanyi, also known as Mt. Wellington, where you can indulge in the renowned pristine air of Tasmania. Ascend to the pinnacle at 1272m and be mesmerized by the breathtaking panoramic view of Hobart and its picturesque surroundings. Don't miss the opportunity to capture the perfect Instagram-worthy selfie against this stunning backdrop of Hobart and beyond.
Next, we'll venture to the renowned Salamanca Market, available on Saturdays only. This world-class market showcases the very best of Tasmanian culture, offering a delightful array of art, local produce, talented buskers, unique souvenirs, refreshing beverages, and much more!
After exploring the market's offerings for 75 minutes, we will continue our journey through the scenic Coal River Valley wine region. This region is renowned for its reward winning cool climate wines. Along the way, we will make a quick stop at the acclaimed Wicked Cheese, where you can enjoy a complimentary cheese sampling and an opportunity to purchase some local produce from the farm gate cafe. Then, we will proceed to the historic township of Richmond, which is rich in convict history and showcases magnificent sandstone and colonial buildings. Here, you will have the opportunity to admire Australia's oldest bridge and Catholic church. Richmond is also home to numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for our lunch break. Additionally, we highly recommend visiting the Drink Tasmania Tasting House, where you can indulge in tastings of the region's finest wines, whisky, and local produce.
To conclude our adventure-filled day, we'll visit the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Get up close and personal with the friendly kangaroos and other fascinating Tasmanian and Australian wildlife. Don't miss the chance to witness the famous Tasmanian Devil, a true highlight even for locals!

Fantastic day exploring the highlights of Hobart! Got to Salamanca Market, Mount Wellington, fed kangaroos, visited Richmond for lunch, and stopped at several lookouts. Despite the ever-changing weather, this was a great trip while in port! Highly recommend.

We booked the Hobart short excursion tour with friends. The company was prompt and invited us into two buses. Jody was our guide. She was knowledgeable friendly explained a lot to us about Hobart. We enjoyed the kangaroo sanctuary the most. You get to feed and pet kangaroos and see a lot of other wildlife. We wish we had more time in Richmond. It was acquaint town where we had lunch, but didn’t have time for any shopping or walking around. Overall, we had a very nice time. Our only suggestion would be to not use two of the seats on the van because the tire humps give you zero leg space and Four a day tour. It can be a bit uncomfortable.

The tour covered variety of interesting places in and around Hobart. The tour guide, Jodi Alexander was exceptionally good. When we went up to Mt Wellington it was exceptionally cold and my wife decided not to go out as she did not have a jacket. Jodi insisted that my wife wore her jacket as she wanted my wife to go out and experience the beauty. Beneath her jacket Jodi was wearing a short, sleaved T-shirt. Jodi treated every member of the tour exceptionally well, was very knowledgeable of the places we visited. I highly recommend this tour, and tour guide Jodi Alexander

Yesterday I had one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on a private tour. We were a small group of eight, guided by Simon, and the entire day felt special from start to finish. He took us from Hobart to a place called Unzoo — an absolutely beautiful spot where we could get close to kangaroos and see Tasmanian devils. Throughout the day, Simon was incredibly calm, empathetic, and genuinely attentive. He even added extra scenic stops along the way that weren’t originally part of the itinerary, just to make sure we didn’t miss any of the amazing landscapes Tasmania has to offer. The highlight came at the end: he drove us to his own home, a stunning property overlooking the bay. We enjoyed the views and he surprised us with a bottle of champagne to toast the unforgettable day we had together. It was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. I fully recommend Tassie Tours and especially Simon to anyone visiting Hobart and wanting to truly enjoy the best of the region.

Small group, very fitting. There were only 10 participants in total. The guide Andrew has given extensive explanations. We particularly liked Bonorong. You could even pet a kangaroo

Unfortunately because the weather would not allow us to dock, we were not able to do our tour. The staff at Viator and Tasie Tours were awesome! We will definitely go on a tour with them in the future!

Great tour with limited time. Our guide Rick was very informative throughout. We enjoy the fact the tour provides transportation and lots of information about each stop but then you can spend time on your own based on the guide's recommendations.

A fabulous tour to give you a taste of the area. We were out for a little over six hours. The coach was small and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. All in all it was excellent value for money. We would have liked a little more time at the stops, but this wasn’t possible due to the ships schedule.
