Our Sightseeing transfer from Skopje to Ohrid via National Park Mavrovo is an excellent chance to enjoy driving through the National Park Mavrovo, visit St. Jovan Bigorski Monastery with its exceptional wooden iconostasis, you will have an option for a stop for local, tasty lunch at the picturesque village Jance, you will be driven along Debar and Globocica Lakes and along the purest river Radika. Just before arriving to Ohrid, you will pass through the second biggest town on Ohrid Lake, Struga.

Beautiful drive from Ohrid to Skopje via Mavrovo...so worth it!

5.00I actually took 2 trips with Skopje Daily Tours and both were fantastic. The first is the private sightseeing transfer from Ohrid to Skopje, which is so worth it because it takes you to some of the most scenic landscape in the western part of Macedonia. From Ohrid, we stopped at Struga for some coffee by the Black Drin River, where many people were swimming & diving. From there, it was a scenic drive towards Mavrovo National Park on narrow & winding roads, along the river, passing by a few lakes & some dams, and several small villages on the mountains. Inside Mavrovo National Park, we stopped at one of the most beautiful monasteries & churches in Europe, Bigorski Monastery or St. John the Baptist Monastery, overlooking the mountains. Just below the monastery is House of Mijaks Ethno restaurant where I had a delicious, traditional Mijaks meal. So glad I didn't take the bus or just a direct transfer from Ohrid to Skopje or I would've missed out on some gems along the way. The next day, I took the Half Day Tour from Skopje to Matka Canyon. Instead of taking the bus, which would've taken longer, or a taxi, I decided to join this tour for a more convenient & comfortable transport back & forth. There were only 4 of us on this tour which was great! Matka Canyon is worth the trip from Skopje and is absolutely stunning. We took the boat ride to Vrelo Cave then took a short hike on the trail with our guide, who shared a lot of great information, which is always helpful & appreciated.
