See Altea in a different way, by learning how to draw it! Walk around the beautiful town of Altea with artist Nathan Brenville as he reveals some of his favourite spots and provides lessons and activities to improve your observational sketching skills.
Nathan is an illustrator with 15 years of professional experience in "live sketching" and has previously taught at a university level in Madrid. He lives in Altea.

What To Expect
Starting in the main square of the casco antiguo by the iconic church, come and learn techniques and different approaches to improve your drawing from observation as we walk around the beautiful town of Altea, taking in various different sites and practicing different drawing challenges so that you'll feel more confident tackling any kind of scene you encounter: crowds, architecture, panoramas.. be inspired to draw whatever you see wherever you go, and fill your sketchbooks up with memories! We will walk down from the casco antiguo and finish on the seafront (paseo maritimo).
What‘s Included
It is recommended you bring your own drawing materials but a limited number of pencils and pens will be available to use for free if required

5.00I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and can wholeheartedly recommend it. Nathan is very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. He has lots of ideas and simple exercises to gently guide you on how to create and improve your compositions. His personal warmth and positivity enables you to lose your inhibitions about the quality of your work and just enjoy doing it. Altea is a stunning location with lots of quaint nooks and crannies around the town as well as majestic scenery with mountains sweeping to the sea so there are any number of wonderful compositions to paint but I have lived in the area for eight years and not made the time for it until today. Signing up for this experience allowed me to carve out "me time" and finally get drawing. Thank you, Nathan for a fantastic day.
