You will then drive up to 1000m of Mount Vesuvius which nearly destroyed the town in 79 A.D. Take the last 200m meters by foot and enjoy the panoramic 360degree views from the smouldering crater.

5.0We had a great day even though the weather wasn’t on our side when we walked up Mt Vesuvius. Our guide was lovely and knowledgeable. Pompeii is just amazing.

5.0Friendly and knowledgeable guides, learned a lot about Pompeii and the region. Went early enough for a serene experience with very few people. Opted for lunch with a fantastic view on the way to the top of Vesuvio, but it was closed for safety (high winds!) when we got there. Our guide and driver were flexible and allowed some stops on the drive down for some photos. Would recommend. Comfortable walking shoes a must! Very uneven in Pompeii.

4.0Great tour of Pompei and MT Vesuvius. The Pompei guide (Vinnie) was top notch with great knowledge. Really enjoyed his insight. So much of Pompei to see so need to come back. The on-board bus guide was nice but did not accompany us the mountain which we found odd. Thought she was the guide. She was only the coordinator we guess. She did coordinate a good lunch.

5.0Isabella was an excellent guide. Spent 2 hours at Pompeii ruins which were interesting. Climbed to the top of Mt. Vesuvius which was very difficult and exhausting— but well worth it
