What To Expect
How to explore a traditional Slovenian culture better than through its local food? Slovenia is a country with an old and rich cuisine history. From my grandmother to my mother and now to me, recipes and different ways of cooking a traditional Slovenian ŠTRUKELJ have been passed on and now I want to share this with you! Together we will dive deep into Slovenian traditional cuisine. After a warm welcome, we will put our aprons on and get our hands dirty! Did you know that there are more than 13 ingredients in the traditional štrukelj and many natural flavor-enhancing additions, some which are secrets from our grandmothers? I want to invite you to come and find out! The class is led by Luka, a local with an aptitude for cooking and a love for Slovenian culture. He will make sure your štrukelj is a success and that you will be in food & laugh coma at the end of the experience! Included in the cooking class: - homemade traditional wine liquor - cheese and prosciutto plating - beverage/juice - digital recipe - group photo - 100 % good company Alcoholic beverages are only served to adults(18+).

1.00Never book with them, they cancel you last minute despite the tour being booked a month ago. I mean, do you not check your schedule? Shows how irresponsible and unethical these people are in running the company. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! Offers no help nor options and leave you stranded and block you on WhatsApp.

5.00My partner and I took part in this incredible experience and I could not recommend it enough. Luka was so welcoming and friendly and also incredibly knowledgeable about Slovenia! We had such an amazing time making the strukliji and we will both take what we’ve learnt home having gained the skill - we also got to try an excellent selection of local wine and foods. Such an incredible end to our trip!

5.00Our Štrukli class with Luka was a fantastic experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. Luka’s expertise and clear instructions made the process of preparing this traditional Slovenian dish both fun and accessible, even for beginners. The hands-on aspect of the class, combined with Luka’s friendly and encouraging teaching style, made it a truly engaging experience. Sharing the class with other travelers added to the enjoyment, as we bonded over learning a new skill and savoring the delicious results together. We left with a deeper appreciation for the local cuisine and wonderful memories of the entire experience.

5.00Lots of fun! Host was very nice. Got to learn more about Slovenia, and also eat some bread with cheese and meat. He also offered beer and wine during the meal. The host is very sociable and we had a great time! At the end he also gave us recommendations on places to see and to eat.

5.00We had a wonderful time at this cooking class! While the location is a little tricky to find, our host send detailed directions and met us right outside. He greeted us with delicious local snacks and beverages and shared lots of stories and local tips during the class. He was an excellent teacher, allowing us to make the Strukelj ourselves but giving us enough guidance here and there to be sure they turned out delicious. Very professional, very worthwhile! Fun to learn a local specialty and will totally prepare at home!
