We so enjoyed our time and would highly recommend the stop. We learned a lot about bees! So incredibly interesting and the owners are super people. They shared their story of how they got into the bee business. They are very passionate about what they do. Plus their honey is top notch.

Alex & Karly were so great, they answered all our questions and we learnt more about bees than we thought possible. The honey tasting was so yummy too! Lovely to really compare all the flavours they have available! Would recommend to anyone. They made us feel very safe and encouraged to ask questions and enjoy ourselves!

Such a fun and informative experience. I booked it mainly for my son who loves bees and honey but I enjoyed it as much as he did. Great way to spend the day making memories and left with the most delicious honey knowing all about the process of making it. Highly recommend thanks Greytown Honey team will be recommending and visiting again - Stasia and Boden

Wonderful couple of hours spent at Greytown Honey learning all about their bees and honey making process. Our host was friendly and informative and happy to answer all our questions. We got to bottle our own honey and tasty so many different varieties and learn about their benefits. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who likes honey. 🐝

My partner and I had such a wonderful and personal tour led by the lovely Karly. It was a joy to hear the story of Greytown Honey, just as much as it was to learn the honey-making process, and getting to learn the ins and outs of a hive. Spotting new bees hatching, and seeing the queen parade about was so cool, and finishing the tour with tasting all the varieties Greytown produces was the icing on the cake. Definitely a highlight on our trip, we felt like big kids!

One of the best experience! How Manuka honey is made - that was our question. Perfectly prepared, highly professional, open, friendly and passionate - that describes the team. Absolutely yummie the honey. The shop is great, we could send our orders directly to Switzerland 🇨🇭! Perfect service! A MUST do!!!

We had some time to spare so booked a beekeeping session with Greytown Honey. Karly and Alex are very friendly and welcoming. Their story, how we they came to do what they are doing, is very interesting. Karly tells a great story while keeping it light and amusing. Before you go see the hives you are well kitted out in protective gear but to be honest the bees are quite calm as Alex handles them and you never get the feeing you will be stung. Alex is great, answering all questions with an obvious enthusiasm and has a great deal of knowledge on his subject. The tour is relaxed and is great for anyone of any age who wants to see how a bee hive works and get up close to some working bees, oh and the honey is absolutely delicious. We had a fun time and would recommend the trip to others, pick a dry day if possible as you are outside for a large part of the trip.

What a lovely way to spend the morning! We got suited up and visited a bee hive, saw the queen bee and listened to the very knowledgeable Alex explain the process from the bees doing their work through to the honey being consumed by us. This was followed by a tasting of their great range of honey. We went away with a jar of honey that we had bottled ourselves, along with some additional purchases - who would resist. I would definately recommend this. We were lucky to be doing this mid week and therefore had Alex's undivided attention but I would imagine this would be a good group activity too.
