What To Expect
El Yunque National Forest
Come and visit the only Tropical Rainforest in the U.S Forest System! We will begin this unique tour to the “El Yunque Rainforest”, by picking you up early at your hotel. From there we will embark in a drive through the historic “route 66” until our arrival to “Las tinajas trail”. This is where the adventure begins with a 20 minutes’ walk to our first stop in one of the most pristine water river and waterfall. During our hike, you will have the opportunity to learn about the history of el “ Yunque” linked to the Taino’s, but also explore the unique ecosystem of this forest that is home to multiple endemic species such as the Puertorican parrot. Be aware this a muddy tour, be prepared to get wet and dirty! But more than that be prepared to a real connecting experience with yourself, the nature and the best that Puerto Rico has to offer!

Great time in waterfalls

5.00You will be wet for most of the day; the trek into the falls is beautiful and persons should be in decent shape; it requires a lot of rock scrambling and walking on muddy ground. Our guide Jean was friendly and helpful. He was able to give our small group much more attention. Our car had an issue going to the waterfalls and he helped get us back up and moving, which was unfortunate especially that we stated a bit late. The experience was amazing, Jean was fantastic and our small group “rocked”!

5.00We had so much fun hiking in El Yunque with our guide Enrique. He made it fun and safe for everyone to have a good time. He shared knowledge of the local plant species and the biodiversity of the rain forest.

5.00Exhilarating experience with some wonderful hosts. Make sure to bring sneakers that can get soaked/muddy or water shoes (if you forget, there’s a roadside stand on route that sells water shoes for ~$20). Highly recommended!

5.00Jean, Daniel, and Patricia were amazing. They took us good pictures and were also very immerse in the whole adventure with the group. They brought us fresh fruits and made some of us that can’t swim feel at ease and enjoy the experience at the rainforest. They are a 10/10.
