El Yunque National Forest
We visit the Eastside of El Yunque Rainforest. Our adventure starts with a 30 minute hike (the path can be muddy) to the first mineral water, natural water pool. There you can enjoy the landscape, swim in the water and live in nature. Along the way you will learn of the bio diverse ecosystem of the rainforest, touch bamboo, unique flora, guava trees and 300 year old trees. Further up after a 15 minute hike, a little rocky there is another watering hole with natural waterfalls. NOTE : Saturday tour take a different route and require participants to be in good physical condition. This route is great for people in shape ready for a more steep and muddy adventure. If this is not for you, we encourage to book with us on any other day of the week. We are featured in Kayak Travel guide for San Juan.

Fantastic experience at El Yunque! Our guide Paul was excellent—friendly, professional, and made the trip so much fun. The rainforest was stunning, and we had a great time throughout the tour. Definitely one of the highlights of our Puerto Rico trip!

Enjoyable but expect rain off and on. Knowledgeable guides. Water shoes was good advice. Hike ok activities for not for the weak at heart.

The tour guides were amazing chill guys, I'll give them that. And pick up from our hotel in Condado was smooth. Early morning pick up, and we got back in the afternoon, which gave us time to rest. But I have to say that if you're hoping for an actual hiking experience IN the El Yunque forest, this is not it. This tour was on private property bordering the actual El Yunque. It was a short muddy trail to Las Tinajas y Charco Frio (a pool & waterfall area) (You can google it, it'll tell you this place is NOT in the El Yunque rainforest.) If you're okay with that, then fine. Saying this so that whoever is reading can manage their expectations accordingly. If you want to explore the actual El Yunque, check on the usda website or the discover Puerto Rico website for visitor guides/maps to see the actual sites you can visit. Then drive there yourself if you can, if you don't want to explore on your own for whatever reason (.e.g. logistics, or you're scared of going alone), just make sure that the tours you're paying for include actual trails/sites in the El Yunque. You have to do your research, otherwise no one will tell you this, and you'll end up spending 60-100$ (or however much these tour companies charge) visiting someone's backyard. Beyond that, I tried to make the best of my experience.

Easily the best part of our trip was this! We had Richard & Taina as our tour guides and they made it the best! Will do this again and especially if we can get them again

I booked this waterfall tour based on reviews. However my family was extremely disappointed. It started off in a bad foot because we received an email the day before the tour with a pickup window of 6:15-7:00 for an 8am tour. I was a bit frustrated with the long time window and confused because our hotel was right by the rainforest, and I figured we would be one of the last pickups. So we set our alarms for 5:15am in case we were picked up at the first end of the time window. By 7:00am we finally got a text that the van would be there at 7:15. It ended up showing up at 7:30am. Literally over an hour past our first pickup window, and we were the FIRST pickup. They should have been able to give us an accurate time window. The tour guide was not fun or funny. She seemed annoyed to be there. Other tours had guides that brought fresh fruit and did cliff jumping. Then she took all of the photos and promised to send them in Dropbox, so we didn’t have other people take photos. We still haven’t gotten them :( The hike was ok and Easter was pretty but extremely underwhelming if you’ve been to Costa Rica. I wish I had booked more of an adventure tour.
