What To Expect

14km of walking and 350m of altitude difference. The start is located above the Vlycha bay and continues through a suggestive rocky environment. The adventure continues on a slightly uphill path, surrounded by rocks, where the presence of donkeys is a companion. The view then opens onto a panoramic point over the Bay of Navarone, famous for the film "The cannons of Navarone". After a few hundred meters, you can admire the Acropolis from above which dominates the typical white village of Lindos, known as "the pearl of the Dodecanese". From here on the descent, which takes place along a sometimes challenging path, then crosses the village and continues towards the Acropolis, the tomb of Kleovulos from the 6th century BC. and then back to Vlycha bay, our starting point, for a well deserved restful swim.

With a group of a Section of the Cai-Sat of Trentino, we participated in a one-week trek visiting the mountains, cliffs, and the most beautiful places on the island of Rhodes, enhanced by the friendly and competent Guides Elisa and Manuela of Hiking Rhodes. The assistance was great. For those interested in a fulfilling and not too tiring trekking, I can only recommend this organization.

This hiking company is awesome. I highly recommend arranging a hike in Rhodes with them. Incredibly responsive as you plan your trip. We hiked Mount Akrimitis and our guide ( Manuela ) was fabulous. She was very informative about the history of the area and the trees and animals. The cost is very reasonable.

Manuela was a first-class guide and made the day so enjoyable. The terrain is challenging but beautiful, and Manuela made sure that the pace was just right to enable us to finish with energy to spare - including a very refreshing dip in the sea. I highly recommend this tour - so much so that as soon as I got back to my hotel I immediately signed up for another tour later in my holiday!!
