What To Expect
Mutianyu Great Wall
You will be picked up from your hotel lobby at 8:00am and your guide will lead you to your private minivan and start the tour. Drive about 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall. The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is a masterpiece of restoration, with 23 original-style watchtowers. Upon your arrival, you will have some time to discover this amazing creature by yourself! You will get on the Great Wall either by chair lift up and toboggan down from at tower 6 or cable car round trip at tower 14.
Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)
After the hiking, it's time to have lunch in a local village for the authentic Chinese food. The sample dishes: Gongbao Chicken Local mushroom and pork Onion pancakes Muxu pork Sweet and Sour pork/chicken Egg or soy sauce fried rice Spicy beans Board on the minivan again, and head to the Summer Palace. During the 1 hour drive, your English speaking guide will tell you more about the imperial palace before you visit there. The Summer Palace is the largest and best-preserved imperial garden and palace in China. Your full-day tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Beijing.

Perfect Day at the Wall in Mutianyu and Summer Palace

5.00We are a family of 5 people and we had a simply excellent day of tourism, which exceeded all expectations. We visited the Mutianyu Wall and the Summer Palace on a very well-organized private tour, which made all the difference to enjoy each moment with peace and comfort. The driver Wangahui was impeccable: safe driving, punctuality and always very professional, making all travel pleasant and without any concerns. The Sherry guide deserves a special highlight — extremely attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable, explained everything about the places visited, including history, culture and various curiosities, which enriched the experience considerably. In addition, she had the kindness of taking many of our photos throughout the day, all of them were great and are a wonderful memory of this family trip. The lunch was also ideal to recharge the energies before continuing the tour. In short, it was a perfect day, with everything going perfectly well, thanks to an extremely professional and dedicated team. We recommend without any hesitation.

5.00The tour was run excellently by Sherry and driver ZhangJinChao. Sherry made use of the VIP entrance to let us take the car as close as possible to the Mutianyu Great Wall and helped point out important landmarks. She also took care to take plenty of photos. The buffet lunch provided was at a high quality clean restaurant (even as a vegetarian). Finally the Summer Palace was a good end to the tour with excellent views and Sherry explained the history behind the Palace very well. Would highly recommend the tour. She is an excellent guide.

His english and history knowledge was remarkable and we had the best time learning new history facts about wonderful places in China such as the Summer Palace, Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China. The pace of the tour was great, we didn’t feel rushed at all, and we felt like we had enough time in each place. The lunch stop had great buffet food and good variety! The great driver, Mr. Zhang, dropped us off safely and promptly during extremely busy traffic. We thank Edward for his professionalism and for helping us have an incredible experience!
