It was raining all day, so I can not enjoy all the activities the tour was offering. So I was disappointed with it, but it was for cause the bad weather not for the agency.

Thomas did a great job touring and entertaining us. His story-telling is top notch and his knowledge of Hawai’i is endless. We loved him. 10/10, would highly recommend.

Went on a tour with Kristie and had an amazing time, many waterfalls and incredible scenery all around. Breakfast and lunch were provided as well as a couple of snacks along the way (the coconut brittle and banana bread were to die for). Overall a wonderful experience with many interesting facts and history about Maui, Hāna, and the rest of the islands. Although I was traveling solo, the other parties in my group made me feel like part of the family.

Kristy made this a day none of us will ever forget! She shared her wealth of knowledge about not only the island but also the spots we visited and the locals themselves. Her love and respect for this beautiful island shines through in how and what she communicates in the tour. The scenery was absolutely stunning and we had plenty of opportunities to take pictures and do some shopping along the way. Do yourself a favor and book this tour. You wont regret it!

After a couple of false starts my sister and I ended up booking this option very close to the departure date as our previous tours were cancelled and boy are we glad they were! We ended up with Jeff as our tour leader and he was incredibly knowledgeable. The road to Hana is just so diverse and a bloody difficult road to navigate so driving it ourselves was never an option (and I would not recommend it to anyone). You also miss out on so much driving it yourself, even with the app directions, the driver misses out on all of it which isn't fair. Our stops were frequent and educational and we had a lot of fun along the way.

Before starting, I want to say this is coming from the perspective of doing this activity with 7 people. so keep that in mind, also we did this as a PRIVATE tour so our experience might differ from someone’s who did a public one. First, we started off with the tour coming to pick us up at 7 am. The van was spacious and clean with good air conditioning. Our first stop took about an hour and 30 to get to. The roads up the mountain were very very curvy with sharp turns - my dad got pretty nauseous during this so if you experience car-sickness this might not be the best trip for you. The first stop was ok, not amazing but pretty black rocks that used to be lava. We also stopped because our tour guide insisted and got the best bannana bread EVER, warm fresh and DELICIOUS. We then headed to a waterfall. The waterfall was very pretty, jungley and green. My family all swam in the waterfall and some people even jumped off. Then, we stopped to grab some vegan coconut ice cream from a local ice cream shop. Also amazing 10/10 recommend! We then went to another place called the black sand beach, very pretty and great if you want to hike and swim. Finally, we went to a chocolate farm.. learning how to make chocolate from the local cocoa seeds. after this we went to our last destination, from the mountain ir was a 2 1/2 hour drive to the “turtle beach” which is honestly an overstatement, you can’t even be on the same beach as them an have to watch from like 25 feet above on a gates off fence. Plus most of the turtles just sit in the sand the whole time. IMO, it was a ton of driving with some pretty sites. None were “breathtaking” but interesting and cool to learn about the culture and environment. We got to the hotel at around 5 pm, making the tour take 10 hours. Honestly we don’t most of that time in the van. Sitting still for that long on very bumpy roads wasn’t the most comfortable but that’s out of control. For a big family, i think a shorter tour might be better than the super long one but this is just my personal experience and yours could look very different. THANK YOU FOR READING!! please like if you find this helpful!

Thomas made the entire Road to Hana experience unforgettable. He was fun, very relatable, and kept the energy up the whole drive. On top of that, he was incredibly knowledgeable—sharing great history, local insights, and interesting facts along the way. The drive felt relaxed, engaging, and never boring. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend Thomas to anyone doing this tour!
