What To Expect
We will stop for the most spectacular view of Sitka's famous Silver Bay, where we may spot whales salmon jumping, and bald eagles. Enjoy majestic views of the mountains - snowcapped until August - and ocean.
In front of renovated WWII hangers, we will pause for a breathtaking scenic view of Sitka and it's main fishing harbors. A great place for spotting sea lions and bald eagles. You will see fishermen passing on their way back from catching salmon and halibut.

Great Tour Option While Cruising to Sitka

5.00Viator’s small group tours do not disappoint. Tired of large tour bus options? This tour is a must do for Sitka. We had a total of 6 people in a comfortable van and Ryan, our amazing tour guide. We got to several spots and took amazing pictures. Highly recommend this tour.

5.00The tour van can seat about 12 but our group was only 4. It felt like a truly private tour. We all had a wonderful couple of hours with our guide Hannah. She was very knowledgeable and personable. She answered all of our questions and gave us really good insight on places to checkout in town after the tour. We stopped at a couple of scenic views to take some photos. Hannah was great! The whole experience felt like we were just visiting a very well-informed friend not a rigid tour. 10/10
The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and very engaging. She was most helpful in making sure we were accommodated.

5.00Hannah was amazing! We had a very small group which was nice. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Really enjoyed our time and the sites we saw. She gave us great recommendations for around town after our tour.

5.00A small group off 11 in a clean van our guide Sandra was informative & flexible to people’s needs dropping them at 3 different spots at the end of the tour so they could explore Sitka more on their own. It would have been an advantage if a sign was positioned advising a Viator tour pick up spot.

5.00If you have little time to go out and explore Sitka, and prefer not to pay exorbitant tour prices by cruise liners, then this tour is a nice way to see the City and landmarks in the surrounding area. Our guide Suzan was excellent. She provided lots of good information and brought us to see beautiful sites.

5.00I had an amazing experience with Alexis. I purposefully wanted a photography tour as I was on a cruise with limited time and wanted to see what makes Sitka magical and beautiful and what better way to do that than with someone who loves photography and knows all the tips and tricks when it is cloudy, rainy, misty, sunny, cold.... well, just ALASKA!!! I would 100% do this trip again just to enjoy Alexis' company. She was more than a delight and I kinda feel like I have a friend who lives in Sitka now.
