Discover the natural beauty hidden just off Hawaii’s famed Hana Highway on a waterfalls and rainforest hike in East Maui. The 5-hour excursion takes you deep into one of Hawaii’s most popular valleys, where several waterfalls tumble within a short distance of one another. On this relaxed hike, take a dip into the pools located beneath the falls, clamor up columnar basalt rock formations to jump safely into the water, and enjoy a healthy lunch.

Our guide Dave was very knowledgeable about the island and gave us some great information which why we gave it 3 stars. Unfortunately this was definitely not worth the cost. Lunch and snacks provided were basically a 3rd grader lunch ( crappy “turkey” on wonder bread or pb and j on wonder bread & a mini size bag of Cheetos or Doritos). The actual hike was less than 2 miles and we basically walked in circles to burn time. The waterfalls were nice but nothing we haven’t seen before on other islands. This is something anyone could do on their own if you stay on the trails and follow the signs.

We had a fabulous hike with Gail in late March. The weather was a bit cool with overcast but we enjoyed the hike and getting muddy. The duration was perfect with a 3 mile hike and plenty of time to swim in several waterfalls. Gail was upbeat and energetic and also very knowledgeable about the trails/Maui area. I would highly recommend and love to do again with Hike Maui!

Very physically, active, strongly recommend good level of fitness to do the hike. Totally worth it, great waterfalls. Kids loved doing the up to 20 feet dives.

We had a great time! The tour guide was so nice and engaging and we learned a lot! The hike was a bit tougher than I thought it would be and I think it would be best to have water shoes (not hiking sandals) because it can be muddy and slippery.

I was thrilled with this hiking experience. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging. He did a great job of helping us take beautiful pictures near the waterfalls. This was a very well-organized tour. The vans used were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour to others.

We had to reschedule our hike day..due to the Kona low and the office staff were more than helpful. This is not our first hike with Hike Maui…we've come to Maui for the past 50 years..37 times to be exact .. and Hike Maui is our go to during the past 20 years when we want to get out into the rainforest. We have taken three of their “Morning Walks” with our grandkids and it’s a perfect introduction to hiking. Honestly we’ve had three different …wonderful.. experiences. It’s not strenuous and you’re taken back to some private land that you’d not have access to if you just drove up and parked (if you found a parking spot) and hiked back in. We were lucky to have the lovely, fun, and knowledgeable guide named Randolyn ..aka Ran. She was the perfect blend of kind, patient and engaging with the grandkids, and very helpful with us old folks! On the drive on the way home she advised a few newbies to the island where some great places to eat were… they greatly appreciated her ideas! If you want a fun morning walk, call Hike Maui

PT was a knowledgable host re: many of the plants and trees as well as great Hawaiian history. The hike was beautiful and swimming in waterfalls was so great! He was very patient with our group of folks with mixed physical fitness. If you are looking for less of a commitment than an all day excursion but still want to see more of the island- highly suggest!

Had a great time with Joel, an excellent guide. Learned a lot about Hawaii's history and environment. Joel gives you lots of time to enjoy the trip, swim, take pictures, etc. Would book again!

One of the best guided hikes I’ve ever been on. Mike was interesting, knowledgeable, fun and adventurous all at once. Great experience overall and he was jumping into brushes to catch us lizards to show us. The lunches and snacks were even solid. Had a great experience and would do it again!
