Had a lovely day with Carlos. He took us in the other way than a normal circle which was much appreciated as we had lesser tourists around our group and we caught nice weather everywhere this way rather than being at the coast in the evening which would be colder. He also speaks Spanish so in case you want to join the group, he’ll take care of you too. The group was small and it was only 5 of us luckily so he made sure everyone is comfortable. He gave us other recommendations too.

We have made an excursion on the Snæfellsnes peninsula and the experience has been excellent. It is an impressive place, with very varied landscapes that allow to understand very well the nature of Iceland: volcanoes, coast, cliffs and the glacier in the background. Our guide, Carlos, has made a total difference. Not only does she explain everything clearly and enjoyably, but she also knows a lot and is passionate about what she does. At all times he has been attentive to the group, resolving doubts and adapting the rhythm for us all to enjoy.

Very nice day trip to the peninsula. You have had a lot of stops on the tour and the guide could tell you a lot about it. The view was phenomenal! We had a lot of rainbows. However, some stops came up a bit short, for example we only had 20 minutes with the seals.

We were never picked up from our stop our confirming the location and being assured the guide was on the way. Kids and I got soaked for forty minutes on a very cold windy morning waiting for the pick up for no reason. All were very disappointed.

Our guide has been Edgar. It has been exceptional.. very attentive, didactic, caring for the whole group, pleasing everyone equally. We were a group of 11 people of different nationalities and we have all greeted delighted. He has told us many things about the country and its customs. A very experienced driver tb. We recommend it 100%. Thanks for the organization!

We would definitely recommend this trip. It is less touristy than south coast and golden circle trips, but the views here are amazing and out of this world as well. We were lucky to see some seals. And from very far away we could spot a few whales as well. At some view points, the hikes were covered with ice (it had snowed the past couple of days), so crampons are recommended when it snowed. Although you can manage without them if you are careful. I didn’t had these with me, and I still could walk slowly without falling on my face. We traveled with guide Laura from Nordur travel. She is fantastic and could explain everything very well! Small tip if you like the scenic views if you are doing small group tours: ask the driver to sit in the chair next to the driver. Most of the time nobody sits there, but you get the best views underway

We had the chance to discover the beautiful Snæfellsnes peninsula on our Icelandic excursion, and this day was even more special thanks to our guide Laura. While we were the only two Francophones. Laura made the effort to translate for us in French throughout the day. This gesture really touched us and allowed us to fully enjoy the explanations, anecdotes and richness of the landscapes. His professionalism, kindness and energy made this trip unforgettable. A huge thank you to her for her attention and kindness. We recommend this experience with your eyes closed!

An absolutely magical day on the Snæfellsnes peninsula with Nordur Travel! The small group format is perfect for enjoying the spectacular scenery and keeping a friendly atmosphere. The landscapes are simply spectacular, that is to say, to do at least once if you come to Iceland. A huge crush for our Lorenzo guide, simply exceptional. He spoke perfect French, English and Spanish, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable for everyone. Passionate and caring, he shared many anecdotes and explanations about the history and geology of Icelandic landscapes, which really enriched the visit. Special mention also for the small surprise activity (not foreseen in the program I specify). We really felt his desire to make us live a unique experience rather than just a tourist tour. I recommend Nordur Travel with your eyes closed, and even more so if you are lucky enough to have Lorenzo as your guide — a real nugget!
