Come walk with me in the snow in Big Bear Lake's winter wonderland. Snowshoe tours are available from December through March. This is Big Bear Lakes' only snowshoe tour with a professional hiking guide. I have over 20 years of experience snowshoeing all the best trails in Big Bear Lake. When you book, kindly let me know if you would like to do an easy or moderate snowshoe hike. I have many different trails to choose from that are perfect for guests of all ages. Even when it seems like there is no snow anywhere in the Big Bear Valley, as a Big Bear local I always know where there are snowy trails for snow hiking or snowshoeing.

Big Bear Lake
Let a local nature host lead you on a guided hike through winter in our national forest here in the Big Bear Valley! Depending on the amount of snow we have on the ground we can either hike or snowshoe through our majestic forest full of oak and pine trees. Most of my guided snowshoe hikes take you up to a secret Big Bear Lake view location. Snowshoe rentals are not included but Blauers or Goldsmith's in the Big Bear Valley rent them out super cheap. (Expect to pay under $30 for snowshoe rentals) I also have snowshoe rentals available through me for groups of 3 people or less. Text me to inquire about renting snowshoes directly from me. Local businesses even have snowshoe rentals for kids! Some of my snowshoe hikes are easy enough for kids as young as 8 (Or younger depending on your child's energy level!) I do have snowshoe tours available for kids younger than 8, but you would have to book a private group tour if booking with younger kids.

I booked three tours with Amber: secret hike, snow play, and sunset hike. I enjoyed them all and couldn’t have found any of the locations on my own. The secret hike had a stop where we took some super cute pictures sitting on a tree. The snow play was so fun, and I definitely recommend renting the sled ($15) from Amber. We were also able to rent snow pants ($15) from her for my boyfriend. She also had some other snow toys we enjoyed. We made a snowman and sled down the hill multiple times (with our dogs too). The sunset hike tour was peaceful, and the view was beautiful! Amber was friendly and knowledgeable about big bear history. She also sent me some recommendations on where to eat. I hope to book more hikes with her in the future. I truly appreciated how kind and communicative she was. She was able to accommodate our needs and plan relatively easy hikes since we were traveling with 3 small dogs (one of which is overweight). She also snapped some great pics and videos of us with our dogs! Don’t hesitate to book with her! 10/10!

No snow ❄️ in Big Bear yet so Amber, our guide, suggested a hike. It was beautiful, informative and lots of photo ops! We even found a swing in the middle of woods and an old tree 🌲 that had been struck by lightening and people leave rocks with messages for lost loved ones in the hollowed out remains. At the top of our hike Amber pulled out hot tea 🫖 for a quick break. A bonus is Amber is also a baker and will bring you sweet treats if you ask! Highly recommend a hike or snowshoe with Amber.

Amber was great! Very friendly, easy to be with and knowledgeable about the area because she lives there. She topped off the hike with a gorgeous view and some hot cocoa.
