Experience a hike through Sweden's winter wonderland on this snowshoe adventure from Stockholm. Just minutes from the busy center, you’ll explore serene, snow-covered forests, spot wildlife tracks, and cross frozen lakes, all surrounded by breathtaking winter landscapes. Along the way, your guide will share insights on the local ecosystem, forest navigation, and bushcraft skills. You'll also learn to start a fire from scratch using a flint, adding an authentic wilderness touch to this memorable trip.

It’s an active excursion so dress accordingly. Footwear should also be appropriate (boots, waterproof sneakers...)
Please remember that the weather conditions are out of our control, and there is no snow guarantee. However last winter (January - March 2024) we only had one excursion without snow!
This is a winter hiking excursion. If the snow level demands the use of snowshoes we will use these. Otherwise we use ice grip cleats under the boots.

What To Expect
After gearing up at our base camp, we'll head out together to one of Stockholm's most beautiful hiking areas (National Park or Nature Reserve - the exact spot depending on snow and weather conditions). Once there, we'll start with a brief tutorial on using snowshoes / ice cleats, and binoculars, as well as forest etiquette. Then, at a comfortable pace, we’ll embark on a hike through enchanting Swedish landscapes. Along the way, your guide will share insights about local flora and fauna, along with bushcrafting and navigation techniques. If the lakes are frozen, we may even cross them under the guide’s supervision. Together, we’ll build and light a campfire, where we'll enjoy a warm and tasty lunch. By the end of the day, we’ll return to our base camp, recharged and uplifted by our time in nature.

5.00Super cool walk through the snowy forests and over the frozen lakes around Stockholm. Including an open-air lunch, prepared on the spot on a campfire by our supervisor Markus. Markus taught us all about survival techniques in the bushbush during the day. Very nice and educational.

5.00We had an incredible experience. Our guide explained everthing to us, from the type of trees and bushes to the different animal footprints we saw during our hike. Moreover, she also taught us how to light a fire and afterwards we ate typical swedish food including fika. I highly recommend it as it was an enriching experience!

5.00Our guide, Marcus, was very informative and attentive. There was no snow but we hiked with a map & compass which he taught us how to do and encouraged everyone to work together. The landscape was beautiful. He taught us wilderness survival skills and taught us lots about the landscape and wildlife. We were treated to a hot drink and sweet treat at the frozen lake, then a hot lunch warmed over a fire which he taught us how to get going. Further hot drinks and treats. The whole day was one of our most enjoyable experiences we have taken part in. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, a good hike and learning new skills along the way. We had 2 teenagers with us and they had the best day out! Thank you for a great time.

5.00We had an amazing experience with our guide, Tigho! He was professional, friendly, and made us feel completely safe on the ice. Although there was no snow, that didn’t take away from the adventure, Tigho took us to Paradisets Naturreservat, where we walked on frozen lakes, enjoyed a delicious lunch by the fire (the soup was fantastic!), and even did some off-trail hiking (my boyfriend had the chance to navigate using a compass and map, which we really enjoyed). Our group was fantastic, and Tigho’s knowledge of wildlife and survival skills made the experience even more special. We can’t wait to join another adventure soon!

5.00It’s one of those once in a life time experiences. I really enjoyed the hike, despite being tired. We also walked on two lakes, which was very scary but our guide managed to help all of us and even take pictures and videos while we do so. The soup we had was very delicious as well!
