ITINERARY:
Day 1: Huaraz - Base Mateo 4700 masl - Summit Matthew 5150 masl - Base Camp - Huaraz:
Pick up from the lodgings at 2:30 am and departure from Huaraz at 3.00 a.m. Approximately, heading north of Huaraz, arriving at Carhuaz, it deviates to enter the valley of Ulta - Olympic Point, reaching the Base at 4700 meters above sea level. After a brief stop to have breakfast, you leave for the summit of Mateo, passing through the moraine. This summit is 5150 meters high, from where you can have great panoramic view of the snowy peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, such as the Huascarán Sur, Chopicalqui, Contrahierbas, Ulta, among other snowfalls. Return to the Base, to take the transport that will take us to Huaraz.

What To Expect

5.00Incredible service, cordial and super attentive all the time. I ⁇ the trip to Mateo, an unforgettable experience that I will keep forever. It is a relatively heavy ride and I do not recommend doing the day after Laguna 69 (I do not regret, but I was definitely tired kkkk). Definitely needs prior acclimatization. 5000m is not a joke and you can go wrong to underestimate yourself. Give it a few days before you climb the Nevado. The Scheler Hostel is also super cool and is in an excellent area of Huaraz for being quieter and quieter, with no noise at night.

5.00I made three tours through the agency: Mateo Nevado, Laguna 69 and trekking by the white mountain for 4 days. Although I was well prepared, it was very exhausting, but it was worth every penny and every meter traveled. The price of the Service is very fair due to the quality of the Service and the extreme complexity of the logistics involved, especially in the trekking by the white mountain range (the most beautiful place I have visited). The guides are all friendly, attentive and very helpful. I did the three walks in a row. It was extremely heavy, especially the Mateo Nevado, as I was very tired from the day before, but the guide helped me a lot in both the climb and the descent. The white mountain range, although little visited compared to other tours, is by far the most beautiful place I have been in the world. An unforgettable experience. Lagoon 69 is famous. Magical place. I still intend to return to do the complete trekking along the white mountain. I want to leave my special thanks recorded to the entire Scheler team. They are professionals and deserve every success in the world. I hope to see them one day.

5.00We took the Glaciar Pastoruri, Laguna 69 and Pico Mateo tours with the Scheler Arizon agency. We passed through incredible and breathtaking scenery. The agency has a great infrastructure (we went through some troubles when we opted for another agency) and, above all, excellent guides to support us during the tours. We saw the quality of the guides when we climbed Pico Mateo and Laguna 69. I definitely recommend Scheler Arizon's services.

5.00Very good experience, before going I took a pill for soroche and I was constantly agitated, the guide was waiting for me to accomplish the objective. I recommend that you acclimatize for a day or two so that you can climb the snowy mountain.

5.00I definitely recommend the agency for its excellent Service and for its specialized guides. Climbing the snowy Matthew was one of the most rewarding experiences of my entire life. I enjoyed the whole tour and cried with excitement as I watched a majestic view of all the snowfalls that our beautiful country has. 5.00To celebrate my onomastics I took my tour at Scheler Artizon Trek agency and it was the best decision!! The service is very good and personalized. Scheler and his team are very attentive and helpful I recommend the ascent to Snowy Matthew, they provide you with all the equipment, also Scheler provides recommendations a day before the climb. Also the guide, Mr. Ronald, very professional, patient and friendly in his field and above all you rating that he likes to climb. I recommend it 100%.
