Our guide Steve was terrific. He was extremely knowledgeable about the past and the present situation in the neighborhoods we visited and New York overall. He gave us a great overview and detailed information about each area that we visited with lots of great anecdotes. He was very friendly and funny, quite personable and even walked us to the subway several blocks away. He is an asset to Experience First!

We had a great time on our tour. It was our first time doing this so we didn’t know what to expect. We got very lucky because our guide, George, was a native New Yorker, and he knew the guts of the city. He gave us historical context, fascinating insights, and a fun experience. On top of that, he was very personable. It was 2 hours well spent!

Absolutely great tour with Angela, which was worth every penny. She explained the fascinating cultural history of the areas with such insight and sensitivity. My 11 year old twins , who are hard to please, had a great time and she was very patient with my autistic boy who loves to heckle!

The truth is, it turned out to be a magnificent experience! Our guide, Verena, was brilliant! She was incredibly friendly and polite, and she guided us through the circuit with lots of information, as well as great warmth and charm. She gave us some incredible—and incredibly helpful—tips, and the day was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend this tour!

We had a wonderful experience with Steve. The tour was 2 hours but not boring at all. We ate in little Italy and learned so much from Steve who is a New Yorker
