  We started on a city walk and continued by van to see many of the filming sights as well as beautiful scenery. Our guide, Gerard, was VERY knowledgeable. He was very flexible with our choices and we had a wonderful lunch in a charming town after a short hike on The Sound of Music Trail. Anyone who is a fan of the move- or just wants a full tour around will be please.

  The tour was wonderful and our guide was very nice and charming. Seeing the part where Maria swirls around in the grass was the photo shoot I wanted and got! I was disappointed with trip advisor, not the tour, so that is why it has a lower rating. My trip advisor account wasn’t working well . Luckily I had taken a picture of my confirmation number bc the booking wasn’t showing up in my app. I called trip advisor the previous day of my tour to make sure that my pickup was good and to have them pick up my party of 2 families from 2 separate hotels in Salzburg. Not a problem at all they told me. After waiting 15 minutes, I received a call asking where I was and the tour group company never received word from trip advisor to meet at our hotel, yet that is what the tour stayed when I signed up for it. There was even a place where I wrote the name of the hotel to be picked up from. I was picked up shortly after the phone call as well as the other half of our private tour group. Our nice guide apologized even though it wasn’t their fault and agreed to have the tour go on another 30 minutes past our time bc we started 30 min later. It was difficult to hear the tour guide if you sit in the back seat, even with a microphone bc the microphone is on the left of the driver and as they turn right while driving, their mouth is not near the mic. Overall the tour was wonderful and the driver knew a LOT of information about what we were seeing! I’m just VERY disappointed with trip advisor and probably won’t use them in the future and will use Viator or Get Your Guide in which I had no problems with in the past. After texting with trip advisor the previous day just to make sure everything was on shape. I found the company to be disappointing to work with.

• Wonderful tour with loads of information about the movie and the area

  A great way to learn about the movie as well as the Salzburg area. Our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We got to see where many of the memorable movie scenes were shot and learn about what was done in Hollywood. We had a fantastic time.

  An amazing experience to be introduced to Salzburg. Our guide Mitch is easily one of our favorite tour guides ever. He picked us up at cruise port in Passau and we stopped in Mondsee to see wedding church and then onto Salzburg. We learned great facts about the real family and interesting elements with the making of the movie coupled with cultural and political dynamics. The tour allowed us to become familiar with Salzburg before suddenly immersed. Mitch was amazing. Fun Australian that has lived in Austria enough to be local as well. It was like having your led by a knowledgeable and good natured friend. Everything about this was perfect from ease of commute to fun introduction. Thank you Mitch

  100% excellent experience with Panorama Tours. Everything was 5 stars across the board. Extremely responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. We did 2 different private tours with (Eagles Nest and Sound of Music) and both were amazing. The tour guide Mitch was GREAT - we had him for both tours. Someone in our party got sick the morning of one of the tours and Panorama did everything possible to work with us and provide alternatives. They really went above and beyond. Highly recommend Panorama tours.

  It was very enjoyable. We were running a tour group on a river trip so did all the booking ourselves through Panorama. We were a bit rushed, but I think some of that may have been our scheduling problems. Our guide was good. Not great. Good. He knew his stuff, but was a little mellow. People wanted to enjoy the full Sound of Music experience and not just see the sites and that was missing. Also, we were told that when they scheduled a lunch for us at a Salzburg restaurant, it could be paid for individually, but we ended up getting one check and had to do all the cash collecting ourselves. Other than that, beautiful scenery and we got to see all the spots.
