Transnistria has preserved a lot of Soviet monuments, equipment, attractive places and facts that will be interesting for everyone to learn. Visiting Transnistria is like traveling on a time machine – not much has changed there since nowadays. The cities of Bender and Tiraspol, keep many soviet monuments, with a specific architecture. You should come to Transnistria especially if you’re from a country that was never a part of the Soviet Bloc or controlled by it.
At Mimi Castle we will make an excursion, which will include a visit to: Historical Cellars, Production area, Castle's Gardens & Interiors. After excursion will continue with the tasting of 5 wines and a set of delicious traditional Moldovan and gourmet food appetizers: gravlax salmon with black bread, tomme cheese handmade with pear, pâté with almond rye cracker, mozzarella with cherry tomatoes and olives, and roast beef with wine sauce. The excursion at Castle Mimi Winery lasts about 90 minutes.

What To Expect
Bender
Our road to Bender will last around 1 hour 15 minutes. We will visit the Bender Fortress, located on the right bank of the Dniester in the city of Bender. The Fortress is an architectural monument of the XVI century. The design of the fortress is the work of the Turkish architect Sinan, which was built on the model of Western bastion-type structures. Construction of the fortress began in 1538 after the city became part of the Ottoman Empire. It was surrounded by a large earth wall and a deep ditch, which was never filled with water. The fortress is divided into upper, lower and center. Its total area is about 20 hectares. The facade is located in the southwestern part of the fortress.
Tighina Military Cemetery
We will visit the Memorial complex, the site of an abandoned military cemetery, where, according to existing data, there were buried 5127 souls. The military-historical memorial complex was officially opened in Bender, Transnistria on October 7, 2008. The memorial complex was erected at the initiative of the PMR Ministry of Internal Affairs on the territory of an abandoned military cemetery.

5.00We joined this tour in Transnistria the day after taking part in a walking tour of the city of Chisinau. Everything was perfect. The friendly, professional and well prepared guide (Marcel) guided us on this very interesting tour. A visit to Bender and Tiraspol, including Soviet monuments, castle and typical restaurant would have been enough to make the day a success. The visit of the cellars of the Castello Mimì and the excellent wine tasting were the icing on the cake. The tour and the agency "MODOVA TOURS" are definitely a certainty. Highly recommended!

5.00Excellent guide and fascinating tour with this agency. The lunch places has delicious food in a retro USSR setting which wasn't touristy. The sights were nicely spaced and the small group tour was enjoyable.
