Food Tasting: paella, tortilla and gazpacho. A vegetarian or halal options are possible for the menu. If you have any nutritional requirement, you must notify it in advance. Drinks :Water and wine.

What To Expect

We welcome you in our house, a villa in Benalmádena. We recommend you come by car, as it is a bit far from the center, you can park on the same street, with free parking. We offer a 2.5 hour class, including practical class and tasting.Discover with me the secrets to prepare the most authentic paella, in the traditional way, along with a refreshing gazpacho of fresh vegetables and extra virgin olive oil. Do not forget the classic omelette, a perfect starter to share with friends, with our personal touch. A fun class where we talk about the typical products of Spanish cuisine and how to get the most out of them. It is not a theoretical class, the students are the protagonists they cook the dishes under my careful supervision. And the best, the final tasting, where you can try the prepared dishes and discover the authentic flavors of our traditional cuisine, first hand. You will get a good memory of our class, with all the smells and flavors of our traditional cuisine. We also send you, once the class is finished, the manual with the recipes with all kinds of details so that you can cook all the dishes learned at home without any problem. Do not miss it!!

To be invited into Chef Pepe’s school and home to learn both culinary skills, and the steps to create traditional Gazpacho, Tortilla, and Paella, is a treat. This is a relaxed and fun cooking and dining experience, with great conversation about Málaga and its history. This was one of our favorite evenings in our time in Málaga, and we highly recommend booking this class. Note on logistics: we took a cab to and from Chef Pepe’s, about a 20 minute ride from central Málaga. This is totally worth it to spend time with Chef in his lovely kitchen.

The cooking class by Pepe was one of the highlights of the trip to the Costa del Sol! Pepe was very welcoming upon arrival and totally organized to demonstrate, teach, and secrets from his family. Even though I knew how to make the Tortilla Espanol, I learned an easier way to make it from the class. Same with the Paella which I have had many times when i lived in Spain, but the class helped to learn the technique of stove top making the dish. Plus everything was delicious after we worked on the 3 dishes, we were able to sit down and enjoy what we made. I highly recommend this experience if you want to hone in your cooking skills in making these typical Spanish dishes. Thank you Pepe!

It was called lunch, but for us Canadians, it was dinner. We were warmly welcomed by our host into his home. It was a Covid safe environment because we were the only ones for the session. Our host accommodated all our dietary requests which were many. We made a delicious white gazpacho, a tortilla which is like a frittata and a paella. Each was accompanied by a light sparkling wine. We left feeling full, with leftovers and recipes to create at home. We are looking forward to trying. It was a quintessential Spanish experience that we thoroughly enjoyed.

This was not only a wonderful cooking lesson, but a great history lesson as well. Pepe is very knowledgeable on the history of Spain and its food and it was an amazing visit.

We absolutely loved the cooking lesson with Pepe! He was very knowledgeable and friendly and allowed us to actually get involved with the cooking. We spent almost three delightful hours in his kitchen learning all about traditional Spanish dishes. He also recommended specific Spanish restaurants that we plan to visit while we are here. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone.
