5.00We had an amazing day out in the magical Burren with our guide Marie. We learned so much. We heard about the origin of the rock; we learned some of the history of the use of the Burren by the farmers of the area. Marie comes from a family of farmers in the Burren which made her very knowledgeable in this area. We saw all sorts of plant life as well as belted Galloway cattle. We learned the local name for them is “Oreos”. At the holy well we had quiet time. A lovely reflective place. A great guide, and, the first time in 5 days no rain and wind. The Burren gods smiled on us.
