Totally recommend doing this! The tour guide picked us up at our hotel. It was only the two of us! On our drove we would pass so many beautiful views also he would explain areas and tell you facts about certain places! Midway we stopped at a view point where we also drank some of Sri Lankas famous black tea! Starting the hike one crosses so many besutiful landscapes filled with a variety of wildlife such as different fruit trees, palm trees as well as monkey and some of Sri Lankas well known birds! As the hike went on we stopped at a waterfall in which we could escape the hot and moist jungle weather for a second and enjoy our lunch with this picturesque views! Ending the hike we decided to go for a little adventurious detour which in hindsight I wouldn‘t recomment as ist was too humid and the path not delievering any new views but a bit of a hard way down! Ending the day our guide drove us directly to our hotel! All in all this was an amazing adventure packed with lots of insanely impressive views, nice movement in nature as well as laughter and a core memory! Only thing to say is that the hike has its demanding parts which are not to be underestimated espacially given the climat!

An amazing adventure if you’re up for a demanding hike, we spent 5 hours walking though the tea plantations, up steep paths and down through rice fields, made friends with local children and leeches (!) and cooled off in the freshwater springs. Complement guide who explained all plants and animals and took care of us all day. And a very fresh and tasty lunch 🙏🏾
